The problem with 230 isn't the legislation, it's how the tech companies apply it. When they decide on who gets to say what on the internet then they are no longer a platform but a publisher and no longer protected by 230. The tech companies want everything, the protection from 230 as a platform and the ability to moderate what people say on their platform as a publisher. The problem with making social media sites responsible for everything that's posted on their site is the scale at which they operate. When you have billions of people posting trillions of messages, how do you manage the content? You could use AI to flag specific messages, but you'd probably either end up with millions of false positive flagged messages or have millions of bad content slip through. The best approach has been the community policing each other and you can report messages that you find problematic. Now the problem is you have people who ultimately decide what should or should not be allowed, and you end up in the situation that created the previous regime of Twitter. My view is the social media sites are the medium, like a telephone or a piece of paper and a pen. The publishers are those who make the posts, therefore the one who should be held responsible are the posters and not the medium. It's like trying to make the post office responsible for the letters or packages being posted.
That makes sense, exactly how I feel. I was taught to think for myself in a changing world coming from a very rural Christian background. I don't believe people on earth have to please every other person, we need to be civilized, and conform to God, local laws, state laws. What people watch with their own money and time is not my responsibility to worry about. We need less government, not more. In any case if the federal idiots can't help us close the border as a Texan, I give less than no care about Twitter.

She (Judge Janine) has never seemed angry to me for the most part unless it was warranted, she is however realistic and grounded in reality and I get why she becomes fairly annoyed at people and events in our "modern times" because anyone with half a brain would be. I'd also like to add she is my favorite person on all of Fox News and that is really saying something because I absolutely love most of them.
