    This is brilliant Will.

I’m glad you like this Pete. I’ve still got a bit of research to do before I can get this to the finish line so it won’t be done for a little bit, but hopefully this is a taste of what’s the come.
Not only that but the Commonwealth Railways doesn’t get the same coverage as the former state rail systems so it is time to address that deficiency.

I really enjoyed that Will, well narrated and researched, pity you didn't venture on into the diesel era, which I expect will come later?

@dieseldavetrains8988 - Production is still ongoing and has now crossed the 40 minutes of edited footage stage. I am currently working on the 1960’s east-west standardisation project which has direct implications on the GM class fleet.
I am glad you have enjoyed this sample video and I hope you will enjoy the completed video when it is eventually finished.

This is looking good, if I may offer some advice. I'd recommend lowering the music in some places as it clashes with the narration (2:37 for example) and as important as it is to credit your sources, I suggest you leave that til the end of the video for the credits as the constant flashes of text distract from the excellent visuals. I also get that this is about the GM's but given you've got over 12 minutes of steam content, might be worth making the video a bit of a history of both forms of motive power and not just a focus on the GM's, or limit the steam content to the important/more relevant loco classes.
Keen to see the final result, like I said it's looking good so far.

@DomQuartuccio - Thank you for your feedback, I’ll make some changes to try and polish this up as much as I can. Certainly, there are some sections of audio that can be tuned and tightened up. I’m going to be compiling and editing this video for a while yet so there is time to get this done.
As for the steam fleet, I’ve only focused on the G/K/Ka/C classes for that reason. As mentioned in the video, they were the backbone of the standard gauge steam fleet. The D/F/CA/CN/L classes and locomotive cranes are only going to get a passing glimpse. Given how this production is going at the moment (at least a 45 minute run time), the steam section will hopefully not feel so long.
I’ll do what I can in regards to the various references to make it less irritating (which I agree, needs to be improved). I made that decision for the purposes of Fair Use of the various material but as mentioned, it will be changed because it is a bit distracting.
      Thank you for your feedback!

I suggest for credits, you abbreviate them like an essay, example at 0:05 can just simply be (AMOT, 1962) The full filmography can go into the end credits!
45 minutes sounds great, I'd love to see other TH-camrs give both these types of videos and the duration a go more often.

The claim of Aboriginal existence going back 60,000 years is contested. This mantra needs to be challenged as it is not conclusive.

contested by what? do you even have a source to challenge the science?
