Diana Ankudinova started singing to improve her speech at age five, and basically started winning all the competitions. She says she *really* got serious about it at age 9. 🔥⚡️
10 years old. Live. Impromptu. One take. It is mind boggling. Obviously, she doesn’t have that cavernous quality that she later developed but there are strong hints of it already. The story is that, when she hit 14, all the songs she had planned for the first talent show had to be adjusted to compensate for the changes to her voice. Once in a lifetime performer.
It's also mind blowing that she is singing phonetically. (Is it easier for kids?). She doesn't speak English at this point; for several years after if even now.
Thanks again for the comment! When I see talented kids with natural vocal abilities, I am worried about the development of their vocal talent and, most importantly, the right personal growth... It is important that the talent falls into good and professional hands and not to charlatans, and the child grows up with an understanding of the need for everyday work, with critical consciousness and without unreasonable "megalomania"... I hope that Diana is on the right creative path...
