I really love your Marcy content. She's a character that really deserves more screen-time to explore where she's been and where she's going. Dealing with the fear and desperation over potentially losing everyone she cares about, before making a mistake that would suddenly force her to fight against losing herself as well. I like how Darcy grabbing her ankle at the end isn't even portrayed as a super aggressive action. It's just this lingering shadow quietly clinging to her and refusing to let go. Fueling her thoughts and feelings of ending up alone with no one but this dark reflection of herself for company.

Before season 3 came out, I thought about doing a fanfic of what it might have been. There was going to be this scene in which Marcy woke up in that healing tank, only to find out she couldn't move a single part of her body. And then, there was going to be this scene in which she played Flipwart with Darcy in a dream, hopeful to either learn something important or, since that was dream, to delay the possession, hoping to wake up with her friends there to rescue her (it ended poorly for Marcy). And finally, there was going to be this chapter in which she brainwashed Anne, Maddie, Ivy and her mom.

If she had any reasons to keep fighting, now they're gone, alongside her memories. In "RE: Outbreak", some of the survivors on the zombie endings that in the moment they were no longer themselves, they understood something. I wonder if Marcy understands that truth now, as well.
