How to open you gas door with the emergency latch.

Thank you for your video. It totally worked easily and then I sprayed some hudini lock spray on the plunger and pushed in and out to work the lube into it and now button works again. Word of caution must be dielectric and safe for electronic locks, you can purchase hudini lock spray at Lowes or larger cans from many locksmith suppliers online 😀

I found the emergency release handle,
I pulled it and IT DIDNT WORK!!! fortunately your video was good enough that I could find the locking mechanism
It took several tries but FINALLY
will tape the locking mechanism down so it will always work.

In my case, it was the spring on the inside of the fuel door
Toyota has the part
Very simple replacement once the door is open
Button and manual release would not allow the fuel door to pop
Use a soft piece of cardboard wedged into the fuel door and it will open

Absolutely a LIFE SAVER!! This did work for me🎉🎉🎉.. I had to pull the yellow release tab and push on the hinge side of gas door and it OPENED!!! Completely saved me as I was riding on fumes lol

I saw a video of someone fixing a Hyundai Santa Fe and they had to take a ton of parts off. If you just have to pull the carpet down like this car it would probably not be too difficult or expensive

It's funny because Volkswagen doesn't have this feature they have it locked behind 18 different screws that you gotta undo but yet the Audi had it makes no fucking sense

You will need to figure out if you have an electrical issue like a fuse or broken wire that couldve been cause by rodents or if you have a defective part like the switch/button or gas door motor
