- Today I showcase an adventure I had during a session on a Skial Community server. From people getting mad at the Sniper class to heated arguments about random crits, Skial will always be entertaining. Do not harass anyone who appears in my videos. Enjoy!

The funny thing is that guy who said random crits benefit worse players more is dead wrong. If you listen to a direct quote from a dev about random crits would tell you that it benefits the better players more than the worse players
I'm pretty sure it sometimes can benefits kind of players on random occasions,also speaking from experiences btw
@@asepsaepullooh7455 yes but it favors the better players. The dev who talked about it said if you're doing well then you'll continue to do well as the crit chance gets higher the more damage you do in the last 30 seconds
Which is really weird. Wouldn't it make more sense to get them more for losing players as a sort of comeback mechanic?
@@darienb1127 Yeah, but it was intended to brake stalemates. This is no longer an issue, so now its just a problem and nothing else. 1 damage sponge in your team and a worse player is able to kill a higher skilled one, because he have a way higher chance 1 shoting him. TF2 is great because if you die its your fault, because you didn't retreat, didn't watch for spies or sniper sightlines, didn't surf off from bullets / blast dmg, etc etc. You can't really do any of that if the enemy just 1 shots you by chance.OFC medic for example is an exception, he can't really win without melee crits.
@@imjustapotatoleavemealone random crits aren't a issue though, people dislike them because its frustrating to die to. I can understand why people turn it off in community servers, but I don't think it takes away from the gameplay like others do

I actually have developed a fear and paranoia from that door! The number of times I've just been ensnared by its clutches only to get immediately crit rocketed by a blu soldier is insurmountable!

I play on skial because there aren't any bots there and the people who play on them aren't very good at the game, so I can actually improve as opposed to being pubstomped by soldiers and snipers.
@@razztastic they way you improve is by playing against better players. not the other way around...?? If you always play the same way and get kills, you never improve. you need to put yourself in a higher average skill game to learn from people better than you

I’ve taken to just saying “I’m angryyyyy” in the same tone Fat does when I get mad at games and it genuinely makes them more enjoyable because I start laughing no matter the context.
Random crits are nice as medic. Medic is secretly a very angry class. Approaching spies and demo-knights better beware: No one gets between me and my innocent minigun wielding baby.

Big Bear had some really shitty takes about random kritz, but I fully agree with his sniper complaints. Dying to sniper really sucks the fun out of the game
@@JustQerq Yeah. It doesn't help either that Big Bear's obviously a goon who spends his days sweating his balls off on TF2.
I have to agree about sniper, though. People who defend Sniper's damage don't have the slightest clue about game balance, but then again neither does Valve so I guess they picked the right game to play.
He's the easiest mercenary to do good with because of the simple fact that, unless you're fighting another sniper, you're never going to die if you just have some game sense. I've Alt+F4'd out of a few matches because a sniper hiding in blu spawn on badwater snuffed out my streak as demo or battle engie.

@@ReddFiveOhOh More or less. The way I see it it disregards if the person on the other end cares (I rather enjoy crits for the shenanigans involved), and just the fact that nothing heartfelt has ever been on a keybind.

my hardest laugh in this video was in the middle of this entire arguement fat magic just shoots the side of the train trying to hit a scout and you see the bullet bounce off, absolutely amazing

it's my go-to server for a good time. almost no salt and any you do get is usually light and funny. i use to join every time i got on and it was always a blast.
skial is either the funniest shit ever or the saltiest shit ever, no inbetween

It's not a coincidence that a huge portion of people who defend crits literally have no idea how the mechanic works whatsoever.
@ThatNoobKing I think Uncle Dane is evaluating this from a competitive perspective - which is fine for himself, because his focus is on competition.
My view is strictly casual, and while I think Random Crits can be more well balanced to be truly random or at least favor lower-skilled players, I can't be in favor of removing them because it shifts Team Fortress 2 to a game I don't want it to be. The kind of game where the fun and wacky weapons are removed in favor of "balance" and maps are made more generic for "competition."
Uncle Dane can have his competitive servers - but there's a reason his servers in particular attract a certain type of user who sweats. Profusely.
@@OKMBVideos removing random crits doesn't really do much other than remove the chance of instantly dying to anyone that isn't a sniper, idk how tf2 is gonna be shifted into something you don't want since it's whole thing is its wackiness. It's not like removing random crits will suddenly turn every weapon boring. Beggars will still be the beggars, gunslinger will still be the gunslinger, hot hand will still the hot hand, etc etc.

The only time that fatmagic doesnt get voted off immediately is if the entire server is too busy fighting over something stupid like whether cereal is a soup. Movies have taught me that people will put aside their differences when faced with a greater common enemy, but fatmagic shows it just isnt so.
