This is fun to watch. You can tell that Diana has already adjusted well with living in the Philippines. She even knows how to make tawad 😅 Just a tip, you don't have to buy per kilo. You can ask them to give you what you need in the amount that you need/want/like. For example, 20 pesos worth of garlic, 20 pesos worth of onion, 50 pesos worth of sayote. You can buy more with a limited budget if you do that. It is also better to think about what you will cook before you buy the ingredients, so you know what you need to buy and you can properly budget your money.

As of today’s exchange rate I converted 1,000.00 Ph pesos to British pounds it came out to £14.41. It’s very tight budget for one person for a weeks food shopping but I’m sure Miss Diana Manadil can stretch her budget sticking to vegetables and fish only. I no longer live in the Ph so I’ve no idea how costly it is food wise. I know I spend between £150.00 to £200.00 on our food shopping for a family of six people. This includes some miscellaneous items though not always. A fairly large tilapia is £7.00 each. I love fresh salmon again it’s not cheap one whole salmon depending on its size is between £20.00 to over £30.00. We have good beef in the U.K. own produce which is Angus beef. I try not to buy imported meat I stick to our own local produce to help our farmers here. Lastly I love watching your vlogs Miss Manadil, nice to know you can also speak few words in Tagalog. Filipino language is not difficult to learn words are easy to pronounce and to remember and I’m sure in no time you’ll be fluent speaking our language soon. 👍
