I live in Vietnam and the vast majority of Christians here are Catholic, definitely more than 6% of the population. I've never seen an Orthodox Church here because the Orthodox never bothered to evangelize here or do missionary work in this part of the world. The universal church is here and that's all that matters.

But in all honesty, all you have to do is want to get closer to truly loving your neighbour as yourself, giving to those in need, being able to bless your enemies and forgive those that hurt you and seek a peaceful and fruitful life. If you want these things the words of Jesus will speak to you and give you the courage to sincerely pray. Once that is done God will show himself to you, and you'll know because there is a place that is beyond any thought or illusion and that is the place where God dwells and that's how you'll know for sure. Only the experience of birth can compare to truly finding God, that is why the Gospel talks about rebirth.

Are they Roman Catholics? Wikipedia says in Vietnam 6% are Catholics and 1% are Protestants. I'm Eastern Orthodox (baptized Russian Orthodox) and I hope there will be Orthodox Vietnamese too. Especially given that Viets seem to be positive towards Russians.
I live in Vietnam and the vast majority of Christians here are Catholic, definitely more than 6% of the population. I've never seen an Orthodox Church here because the Orthodox never bothered to evangelize here or do missionary work in this part of the world. The universal church is here and that's all that matters.

1. Those items are manufactured in China, Taiwan, Malaysia and VIET bloody NAM under license from US corporations.
2. Christianity and Judiasm are the basis for democracy, equal rights, education, healthcare and opportunity. As a matter of fact, if it were not for the Ten Commandments and European culture / technology, you would still be barefoot, living in a grass but with dirt floors, shitting in a hole, dying of malaria and dysentery and writing stick figures in dirt or clay tablets to communicate. (That's if you were fortunate to survive the living hell of Mao Tse Tung, Pol Pot and Hoa Chi Min.)

I'm pretty sure Troy is sympathizing with Christians. Even though he's not a Christian himself, he's noticed that there seems to be a stronger bias against Christianity in modern media. I don't see this as being a douche at all but actually the opposite. He even shows a wholesome clip of the Vietnamese Christians just hanging out and taking pictures together like a big family and asked if viewers have ever seen them portrayed like that in modern media. Troy is not only being respectful but real and that is worthy of respect.
