    It's pretty easy to be sober in Quebec. We have horrible alcohol because of non-competing clauses. For example, you can't have cider that comes from outside of Quebec.
    When I went to England, I drank a lot more cider

    • @alexcarson6503
      @alexcarson6503 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      They actually make cider in Quebec? Surely not!
      A pint of cider counts as a fruit based drink ie-for the ladies.

    • @mikevickers1391
      @mikevickers1391 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      No he wasn't! If he was drunk he wouldn't have such perfect comedic timing, he wouldn't remember his 'script', he would have such fast reactions and responses to the audience participation. Its clear you've never seen a classic comedy show or realise you were watching a brilliant comedy acting performance. This guy repeats these hilarious performances as he tours around Britain...do you really think he prepares for his 'act' by getting drunk each night?

      What wasn't funny about his bit, give some constructive criticism. A basis of foundational reasoning with a reasonable conclusion. "Hes not funny," gives nothing to go off.

    • @michaelsmith7425
      @michaelsmith7425 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      He is playing a character, a stereotype if you will. He portrays it brilliantly and is a history major. If you watch some of his other videos where he deconstructs the British Empire through irony and sarcasm you might begin to comprehend his brilliance. It is the major strength of us Brits that we can laugh at our own history, good and bad, and laugh at ourselves. We were never perfect as colonisers, it is a sad fact. But many of the countries we touched are better for it. Ask Hong Kong who they woulf rather be 'under'. Ask the people of Zimbabwe who used to camp outside Robert Smith's house to ask him to come back to stop Mugabe. Ask India who got roads, railways, communications. Yeah we weren't perfect, but we weren't half as bad as some of the other Euro nations. The world is ironically better for British expansion. As crappy as we were, we kick started so many economies and vaulted them into the modern centuries.
