Is it easier to drive than the Porsche gt3 cup? I spent a little and got all the tracks and the gt3 and I'm mid to back of the back and yet to make a race without wrecking out. When I'm clean someone presumably in the same situation as me wrecks me out. Dropped from 2.5k to 1.3k. it's my brake pedals, I cannot brake late enough with Any consistency. 2:05 on Sebring is good for me but not fast enough

I'm an Aussie and it's Bathurst, ask any Australian and they will tell you it's Bathurst, one word means everything in Aussie race lore. But you drive it like a pro bud, for someone who drives that car "Badly" nice work. I've just started iRacing and watch your channel for inspiration. Hope to see you out there one day :)

I've had the no-meatball required repairs bug before, when doing an ilms race I hit the barrier, carried on for the whole duration of the stint, went to pit, had 11m required repairs with no meatball. Basically ruined my race even though I was recovering from that.
Hi dave. Had exactly the same problem yesterday in a imsa race. Clipped the barrier trying overtake a lapped car going into the bus stop had a little damage but was running p4 comfortably and pitted and it gave 10 mins of repairs finished p18 was fuming

Hiya bud, did the iracing endurance series at Silverstone yesterday, span and hit the wall, no meatball, pitted at the end of the stint and was forced to take 22 minutes of repairs.
good race. had it on in the background while i tightened up some points on the rig.
Dave search up Greg Murphy lap of the gods, was back in 03 using h pattern shifter at the time the fastest lap ever. Great race and good video mate! Loved it.

I learned a long time ago consistency is key in this car it punishes you really hard for braking late or too much power.
5:47 how on earth do both ur cars buckle like that and just grip to the track and stay on course. Idk what car your driving but thats not how the supercar works. That would have u in a spin sooo bad you would be in another continent.

i think the supercars should be sequential only. i know its the same in a sense but they lose their charm when you paddle shift

Greg Murphy's lap of the gods was amazing given that it wasn't expected that time could be reached. Everyone knew Scotty could hit that time when he did it.
Yep I second Murph's lap as the best. Yes, it was slower but damn it was good.
Even from a Ford fan, watching Murph's real "Lap of the God's" still gives shivers to this day.
I've watched it 50 times and it's still godly, He went a whole second faster than his lap that got him into the shootout

Ahh, not had no meatball but repairs but Yesterday Sunday I slogged out 1hr at Imola GTE in top split, started 17th finished 7th = got nothing for it, no results like it never happened, checked today too...... All that stressful sweating for nada lol. Anyone else ever have this happen? No Internet issues BTW I'm on fibre so......

Same thing happened to me at Silverstone TCR. Got hit on right rear first turn. No meatball, spun couple times, towed. My suspension was broken, tire got stuck... 8 minutes required.
Love these V8s on iRacing, and I love bathurst. I think my best lap is a 2.08.xx but I always qualify with race fuel (around 60L)
Dave the V-8 motors are defiantly Petrol Pigs even on Oval Tracks...really gotta watch the Fuel Window!
Hi Dave, I had the same happen to me last week in the Ferrari GT3 at Nurburgring. Jim said I had wheel damage but no meatball so I continued with a tilted steering wheel. When I came in for fuel I had 11 minutes required repair and 5 minutes of optionals. There are some discussions about this topic on the forums as well. Anyway, nice racing on the Mountain! I'll be trying these cars once more during tomorrow's maintenance as they always seem to be big fun. Sitting on the wrong side holds me off a bit though... Cheers!
Yeah dave at Watkins in IMSA, got forced into the barrier going up the hill on lap 1. Was just a graze, got a 0x not even a 2x. 15 minute required repairs..
I mean this in the nicest way possible.... you're mental. Looking for SR in the V8 Supercar series at Bathurst.
Been seeing the required repairs without a meatball more often recently. I think it means floor damage sometimes, where you can continue with it, but it still makes you fix it when you make a stop.

Great racing as always. Yeah, had over 5 minutes required repairs in an IMSA race at Watkins Glen a couple of days ago with no meatball. Handling was ok but large amount of aero damage. I'm guessing it's down to what part of the car is damaged.
Had the "required repairs, no meatball" situation this week in the 1987 Nascar series. I wonder if it's intended or a bug...

I don't have any kind of schedule I'm afraid as I just race around work which is shift work and weekend.
guy who won my V8 bathurst race had 500ir and qualified a 2:04.1
we had 11 minutes required in the 24h of lemans.. no flag showed up.. flags are a bit glitchy the last few weeks

I have taken ked my iracing once or twice to get safety back, it's no fun and a bit frustrating... I enjoy your videos. I am going to continue pester you to run the SRF...
I like how you think the best way to gain SR is to find the series with the twitchiest cars that can call out even the best drivers, then race from the back of the pack towards the podium positions. Just goes to show how good a driver you really are and how much car control you manage in the loosest of vehicles. If I tried that I'd be back in Rookies in a couple of weeks.
I scraped a wall once, and 20 minutes later my engine blew. No meatball prior to that final failure. But I'm sure the pit crew would not have let me leave the pits without repairs if I pitted.
He is doing 2:07’s with traffic, I can’t get under 2:11’s in testing.... LOL I suck!!
do you blip the throttle with the v8 or do you use autoblip?
I was using auto blip here but much better to do it manually

Had no meatball when tapping the wall at le man no bent steering or anything get into pits and 11 mins of repairs required
I had damage in imsa , hit from the rear on lap 1 went to the pits when the window opened had 15 mins required with about 15 minutes left
