I two-chain a round and flat link at the same length daily. To me, the key is matching the “thickness” of both chains as close as possible. The rope is 3mm and the flat curb is 6mm, but they’re both 22in and complement each other because of that similar “thickness” ...👌🏾✨

@@RellJefe90 two ropes will be fine, don’t tend to notice scratches on chains with a lot of diamond cuts, my I’ve worn Franco with other chains for ages and had no problems 👍🏻

The rope is actually really difficult to dwarf due to how it is designed, unless you start going a full mm over. For bracelets I wear two 3.5 mm ropes and a 3 mm franco. The ropes are a BIT more noticeable but again that's because of their design. They have a fuller look to them. So in your case you could pair a 2.5 mm rope with a 2.5 mm heavy link and they would look nearly identical in size. Also gotta take into consideration the ropes are diamond cut so that 2.5 rope is probably 2.2 or 2.3 after diamond cutting.

I couldn't pull off that look myself, at least not without getting way more attention than i want lol. My suggestion would be to wear the smaller chain with a pendant on top, so depending on your neck size you could probably do a 18 or 20 inch chain with a pendant. If you go with a pendant, you want there to be 4 inches of spacing between that and your bigger chain below it for a perfect layered look. So your setup would be an 18 or 20 inch chain w/pendant on top and a 22 or 24 inch chain on bottom. Does that make sense? If you want to just go with a simple 2 chain setup (no pendant) then you want there to be 2 inches of spacing between the chains. My 2 ropes are 22 inch 3.5 mm and 24 inch 4 mm. They layer beautifully and couldn't ask for a better two chain setup at least for me. Big takeaway here though is always have the smaller chain on top and bigger chain on bottom. It's the perfect look in my opinion. I know Braden has a few videos on this look specifically with the ropes, looks amazing. Hope this helps!

Unless you have a particular style in mind, I’d say go with a rope or franco. You get more visual presence with the rounded chains at smaller millimeters. For flat style chains I really wouldn’t go under a 5 or 6mm. Rounded chains you can start as low as 2.5mm because they pop out more and they pair WAY better with pendants than flat chains.
also depending on your neck size I’d recommend 20, 22, or 24 inch for the 3.5mm size. 22 inch is good for most people as it will sit below your collar bone. 20 if you’re pretty slim and 24 if you’re a bigger set person.
