Holy hell, I'm ashamed that I didn't really know about Rip Rogers till recently and am so glad this interview exists and shown up in my recommendations. Rip is insane in an amazing way.
Same here brother. Knew nothing about him, now I love em. Nothin better than a wild, off the wall dude, with a sense of humor, who knows his shit & has a memory like a steel trap!
My fellow “curses like a drunken Irish sailor” The Hustler Rip Rogers. The most underrated job guy in WCW. Who held many a regional belt but definitely under appreciated in WCW and easily had some of the greatest singles matches on TV.
I completely agree. I'm turning 35 next year and my back is blown out. You never heard my name on TV cause before I was 30 my body was messed up. Growing up in the same town as Droz i knew the risks. That bump card thing is legit!
Wonder if Jim saw the clip of the WWE performance center where Regal told them dozens of times to step forward with your left foot and they were confused on what stepping forward with your left foot meant and he yelled at the dozens of times saying stop forward with your damn left foot, and it kept going in one ear and out the other, and finally they understood what their left foot was and what stepping out with it meant.
Ha,Ha,Ha if any of the guys giving Rip a hard time were half the wrestler he was they would be doing a hell of alot better than they are now. Rip just pointed out the fact that they are more mark than wrestler doing all that shit that hurts you,pro wrestling is a work good ones use psychology, charisma, and a decent move set will get you further than jumping off a balcony thru a table smacking the concrete and making 35$. Rip Rogers is the man.
David Snyder I dislike incorrect grammar more than anyone but you're wrong there. Some phones autocorrect to "alot". It can be written as two words or as one.
yeah that's like 2/3 of what Jim does with Brian is talk about how bad current wrestling is and its just tiresome because its the same thing over and over. The meltzer segments, the social media response segments... all that kind of super repetitive garbage where jim just repeats everything he said the last time he talked about Meltzer. it was funny the first few times I heard Cornette say trampoline cowboy about AEW but then when you hear him call somebody a trampoline cowboy for the 150th time, it starts to seem pathetic.
Can you imagine being a new Ovw student and this is your wresting teacher 😂😂

Rip might be the most underrated wrestling figure alive today.

Rip is a character and a half.
Great interview 👍
Good teaching gentlemen
Priceless introduction
I dare somebody to count how many times Rip used the word "fuck" including the extensions like "fucker".
Dare someone to make a drinking game out of that.
Do you hate your life so much you want to die of alcohol poisoning??
I believe I counted 52 variations of "fuck" in four minutes when I first heard this on the podcast.
That intro
I want to record someone going to Rips door trying to convince him to go to church. the reaction would be priceless.
