Yes, as others are noticing the Chitin armor is a waste of resources. It is the same as Orichalcum heavy Plate armor, if you go hvy. Crafting the Chitin armor is hugely wasteful as with no timeless shards even so the one perk you select has to go towards an attribute just so you get matching armor...lol. Everything else will be random. When you look at Chitin Armor on the data base by itself it is nothing special. You see the acid resistance in the gem slot but that is because when you hold the cursor over the slot it says crafting mod - Chitin Padding. Just put the padding in some luck gear. BTW those sulfur monsters are Angry Earth with an exception. The Hellmouth's(Sulfur Dragon) is like the final boss in BnB. It is weak to Strike and Ice. The guy that pops out of the acid is regular Angry Earth. The Dev's need to make the Chitin Armor special, like give each piece an extra 1-2% resistance to add up to 5-10 extra resistance. Something, it's just useless until you add the padding and that goes in anything. DON"T WASTE REOURCES MAKING GENERIC CHITIN ARMOR just to make it special with the padding. Any armor can be special with the padding.
@@sl3ndermmo we sub because we get informed or like the content. We often forget to like so yes it helps to remind us. I use a like sub and share watermark in case I don't ask. I feel the best time to ask is about in the middle of a video because those who stay that long like the content and are more willing to help. I prefer the watermark as it is less intrusive but one way or the other is fine but you have to have a call to action from your community. It is completely acceptable.
@sl3nder I see the benefit of crafting the Chitin Padding and putting it in some nice PvE gear instead of a gem, but I dont see any reason to craft any of the Chitin armor pieces, it sems a really waste of resources for not added benefit above the Chiting Padding. Yeah, it looks cool, but it has no practical benefit...or am I missing something?

I have lots of old PvE unused gear good enough to kill those freaking mobs at the pools once I slot it with the Padding, but I guess some other people don't, so for them is better to craft the whole set and pray for good perks and corresponding attributes on it. Crafting the Armor is unfortunately really pointless. Just craft the padding and slot it in your regular gear like you would with normal gems. Same effect, less Money spent.
Isn't that Chitin like a gem? I mean, why craft gear, if you can just slot it in Voidbent armor and get potions. You have luck and can go gather chests easy that way..

well, you dont have to have it. You can just put the Chitin Paddings into your Gem Slot in another Armor Set

The gear itself has intrinsic acid protection, IIRC. I only looked at it briefly on PTR. But I think that just stacks with the padding protection.
