Today the US lies about the necessity of Russia to finally take action in ukraine because for the last 8 years kiev has been bombarding its own citizens in eastern ukraine.
The US gov lied about iraq which corroded the peoples trust in what happened on 9/11.

I did not know that she graduated from Princeton University as a history major ! Very impressive ! I also thought she was a Russian citizen but now understand she was only born in Russia but is a U.S. citizen ! This woman should run for office because we desperately need clear thinking women like Julia ! She is in a unique position to understand Russia's motivations since she has lived there temporarily ! You know , when it comes to one's impression of Julia ,does anyone else find that a combination of beauty and intellect is so very attractive ? It to me is the perfect package of a very attractive women ! Finally , I thoroughly enjoyed this debate and it had a visionary content of the invasion of Ukraine ! She sounds very thoughtful, gives detail information and backgrounds on why and how things evolved and differ between Russia and the west. She explained why and when Putin may turn into a very dangerous person.
Then I saw some interview with her and she made a complete u-turn. She sounds like every one else: more weapons, more money, don't care of Putin
So did Putin change? Or did Ioffe change because of the backlash she received for not following the black & white narrative?

@@vinista256 What she would have to say now would counter all the biased reporting she put out before in the Putin files. That is of course unless she is a hard core ideologue!

"...people at the top drink their own kool aid..." That applies to the Trump people and to the Putin people as well as to all the other autocratic leaders and their inner circles around the world.

No. It applies to people like you, who think they are smart and have everything and everyone figured out, yet you yourself work a basic job earning basic salary with crappy increments, or even worse, have some non skillful job as a "journalist" or school teacher, or are good at a freaking board game and now think you are a genius.
You make and drink your "kool aid" every single day. And it's sad. Cos that's the only bit of happiness that you will get in your life. By thinking that you are better and smarter than other people, without actually being smart or better.

Listen Cecil, Trump was never a politician. As a MEGA real estate guy he made deals, so what .He still loved his country.Everybody loved him before he ran. After they saw he was hard right for the people and the country. Overnight they hated him. He lost money as Pres., Everybody else made money. Weather you agree or disagree with his ideas, style, haircut, etc, what "MATTERS" is the truth and making life better for people. Show me a winning coach who hasn't lost his ass at some point."
