  • Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a massive game. I've split its lore into two videos. This second video covers the extremely dense main game, including all side chapters and heroes.

    This video is fair use under U.S. copyright law because it is (1) transformative in nature, the video is a journalistic commentary on popular media (2) uses no more of the original work than necessary for the video's purpose, the claimed duration is an edited clip for rhetoric, and (3) does not compete with the original work and could have no negative affect on its market.

      I'm still honestly quite confused when I look at the Xenoblade story as a *whole* , especially with all the plot holes you ranted about in that video, but this *was* still an entertaining video.
      PS: Have you heard about that dove add that's been going around *shaming* gamer guys for being attracted to *fit, healthy* women in videogames and irl? Do you plan on addressing that at any point?

    • @otakudaikun
      @otakudaikun  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ezrafaulk3076 I certainly plan on it at some point.

    • @ezrafaulk3076

      @@otakudaikun nice. There's a really good point that Shadiversity makes in his *own* video discussing it that might be good for *you* to address too; that point being that they actually *inspire* people to better their health so they can be more like them, even if they can't necessarily be *completely* like them.
      It'd also be good if you addressed how women who actually *play* videogames have repeatedly voiced their *hatred* of this desexualization of women shit; the very *first* video I say calling out the hypocrisy in Netherrealm Studios desexualizing the female characters *only* in Mortal Kombat 11 and *ranting* about it was done by a *woman* who actually *played* the pre 11 Mortal Kombat games; which shows that the wokes who do this shit don't *actually* care about representing and empowering women.

      @@ezrafaulk3076nd this could be just me but... Even though Takahashi said reason why Xc3 most character outfits are less "flashy" than previous games is because it fits the story better, I kinda digress though, I think monolithsoft definitely kinda got scared by the backlash from xc2 sexualized blade designs, so that's why xc3 female characters outfit are way less sexualized. Then again Ethel, Alexandria, Monica and many female chatacters in xc3 still great and awesome nonetheless.

    • @ezrafaulk3076
      @ezrafaulk3076 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Mario123007 if they however, talked to the women who actually *played* Xenoblade Chronicles 2, they'd probably realize that they in fact *could've* made the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 character outfits as flashy and sexualized as they were in 2.
      Who knows, maybe the less flashy and sexy outfits *do* fit the story better; but they don't need to get scared by the wokes because they don't represent the west as a whole *at all* .

  • @Mario123007
    @Mario123007 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Awesome how you didn't just simply make a summary on xc3 main story but also weave in the hero quests, ascension quests and side story into the lore. Even though those aren't really mandatory to do in the game but they are important as one of the xc3 lore indeed.

    • @otakudaikun
      @otakudaikun  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh definitely. It's just part of how this game was designed.

    • @Mario123007
      @Mario123007 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@otakudaikun indeed, however I do have some minor complaints with xc3 lore, such as Ethel and especially Cammuravi doesn't have much story arc and character development later in the game, not to mention both are the only two heroes that doesn't have an actual asension quest. Ethel grows back to her tenth term, yet returning to colony 4 only lead to her murmur feeling familiar and her former right hand man Bolearis thinks he has hallucinations when she's in the party smh. And then with Nimue, man really hope she's a Hero character, which apparently she was planned to be a Hero.

    One thing though, and I don't mean to be THAT guy, but I don't remember anything completely confirming that Mio is Nia's daughter. But hey, something might be going over my head right now.

    not sure if you did either, but I feel the war between Ouroboros and Mobius to have the same philosophical battle as Chaldea and the Olympian in FGO. An unknown and possibly doomed future against a stagnant yet mostly stable infinite present.

    I'll be honest, the main story here greatly disappointed and annoyed me. I could be captivated with the first two, but XBC 3 Felt like a try-hard of showboating without substance, and Noah was the worst protagonist in the series in my view.
    Aside from the gameplay, Lanz and Sena were the only positives that got me to keep following the journey because I relate to their feelings of self-inadequacy in my younger days.

      And doubt you'd gonna enjoy Gears or Saga way of storytelling (their meta storytelling "worse" than Blade 3). Seeing what DLC intended to connect all Xeno, you'll never be enjoy next Xeno iterations, be it Saga remake or Xeno 4 (or Xeno-something). Like it or not, the way of storytelling has been back to previous Xeno games ("unclear" meta lore bleeds and long cutscenes as famous Saga 70% cutscenes over gameplay, and hard to understand like freaking Gears).
      So TLDR. Its back to old Xeno way. Blame Satoru Iwata to rename the first game in this series to Xenoblade, although its never meant to be a Xeno game)
