- Welcome to my first ever Artist Alley vlog! I tried that this vlog was more focused on convention preparations, showing you the amount of products I take, how I set up my table and all of that!
I also talk about my experience doing Dokomi Artist Alley for the first time ever and also on Atsusacon in Belgium!

Just a suggestion.. on the sock holder.. if you put 2 small rectangle openings you can weave the socks in and out and it will hang and hold them better.
Thanks for the suggestion! This one worked very well actually :) And it makes it easier/faster to mount/dismount the booth, since I add them in the paper on the spot eheh
As someone starting an art business your videos are so nice and helpful. So many people refuse to share tips and youre so transparent its rly refreshing :)

Thank you for sharing your experiences - but YIKES! the spider - you were very brave!!!! I finished reading Hail Mary a few weeks ago and LOVED it. Can't wait for the movie with Ryan Gosling as the lead. I am vending a fibre festival in a few weeks (I make polymer clay charms) and always love watching these vlogs of artists prepping for cons and markets. I hope your future ones are even better. Love sering others at events, preparing for and setting up! Thank you for sharing. I usually do outdoor mkts every week. But going to a big event ( over 500 vendors) next Thursday. Have to fly, so can't just pack the car! It is also a 3 day event, with VERY long hrs (11hrs,12 hrs and 9 hrs) ,😵💫! I am looking forward to having to totally different experience though.

I've been thinking about applying for a Dokomi table but in the end I chickened out, haha. I've heard so many different opinions on Dokomi, from "sales are terrible, competition is too strong" to "I made so much more money than at other cons". I just don't know what to think, but I thiiiiiiink I'll try to get into Dokomi next year.
Yeah I think both of those are correct! I was one of those firsts 😂 but I know a lot of artists who did amazing! So it really depends. I might try again next year and see if it’s different on another location :)
@@aPenasIllustrator Would be interesting to see a study on what kind of artists did well and what kind of artists didn't (product wise, booth design wise etc.)
@@Cosmos_DreamI think it depends a lot on the following, if you have been on previous editions, the location, the type of products.. a lot of things play with it! But of course very well known artists with million of followers will always do well :)
