Wow.... this takes me back to Guam when I was there on the USS Proteus (89-91). Makes me wanna cruise down Marine Drive. Whoever posted this song, THANK YOU!!!!👌🏾🤙🏿
I left "where America's day begins in 1991 and this song was on every jukebox and in every bar on the island! Everyone had it on repeat. It was a "Condition 10" hit for sure. From Wet Wille's to the Tahiti Rama, this classic cover was it! From the tasty "Bah -Dah-Dat's" vocal intro to the extended verses, is why I searched for this TODAY when the original song title popped in my head. Thanks for the post( and I see there are others here as wel)l. I saw these guys perform as well before I left. ...HAFA ADAI
I was in Guam circa 1991 and this song was a favorite at Lights nightclub.... Bring back memories. Thanks to Condition 4 and all the natives for the memories.
I'm so glad you found this song. My husband Dennis and I were on island when Condition 4 recorded their first cd. Mike, Frankie, Sal, Ben and Bruce very close and dear friends. We miss you guys. On my 35th birthday at Joe and Flo's when Mike serenaded me.
This brings me back to those days. From time to time, would roll into Town House. To the music department where I worked. Genuine people. Never forget them. Thanks for putting this out there. Esta
Damn...all my uso's would get nutz wen da braddahs would run tis as lastsong of da nite!....da only uso bouncing at wet willies at the time(94).love my chamorittaz tho-always sweet and crazy!....thanx doll for finding tis one!...it'll be on blast all the time!!!!........esta ltrz
One of the oldies I fell in love with as a young CHAMORRO kid. I couldnt help it. These songs are and will forever be hands down THE BEST SONGS EVER. Does anyone know who sang the words to "she took off my romeo"? Or was it just "romeo"... My dad Raymond Taitano use to play these jams with his band members. I use to have his song book with all the great stuff from the 60's all the way up till he got sick back in 05'. It'd be great to start his collection over again if I can. I'll need the help to get it started. Any suggestions? First things first, the song I mentioned... can I get the name of the singer or band?
Been tryin to look for their CD for many yrs now...does it even stil exist?! & yes Joe & Flo's, Thursday's, Lights on Fridays, then either the Onyx @ Sand Castle or TJ's @ the Hyatt...those wer the good old days.
Drop is on TH-cam and there's quite a few copies too. They have all versions too. Whether it be Manao Company or Sean from Manao or the original from Eddy Grant.
