I've been to Uncommon Objects quite a few times. It's definitely got some taxidermy and other oddities, but honestly, it struck me as an otherwise very normal antique store. It's just one of those quirky stores you find in Austin.

JadedTuber is a fan channel with some good compilations of “Garrett Watts deserving better”. Garrett was regularly treated awfully by Shane and that group, but that moment was an especially awful one because he’s so visibly uncomfortable and we know he’s been set up. I’m glad he’s seemingly around more positive and kind people.
I think it’s really interesting how Bunny made her channel off spooky things. Hanging out in grave yards, paranormal events and even her accounts of seeing ghosts and not being afraid; it’s just weird the second she thinks there was a real “ghost” she bursts into tears out of fear? I listen to and watch so much true crime and documentaries about murderer, abusers etc, but I am absolutely terrified of death and everything linked to it. It's kind of a contradiction but I think I heard before that you try to control the thing you're scared of and engage with it on your own terms, where you're the one in charge. I went to uncommon objects the last time I was in ATX. It’s a fun place to visit but certain things are definitely overpriced. There are items that still have old price stickers that are faaaarrr less than what this shop is selling them for…the least they could do is take the $12 sticker off things they’re trying to sell for 60. 😂😅

ummm who LIKES funerals? Most of the time if you're at a funeral its because someone you cared about passed away (since you wouldnt just show up at some random persons funeral) so.... its kind of hard to 'enjoy' a funeral when the persona the funeral is FOR is someone that you loved who isnt going to be there anymore. realllllly hard to enjoy that. 0- from a mucker who's been to several funerals and 'touched many dead bodies' (ie- hugged or kissed the forehead of or held the hand of loved ones after they passed)

idk I think there's a big difference between visiting a graveyard of people you don't even know and who probably died decades or hundreds of years before you were even alive - and coming to terms with (or not) with the death of a loved one. I visit graveyards frequently and find them lovely - but I have a horrible relationship with death as a thing, and don't handle loved ones passing well either. kind of not comparable things really.

I think you started to touch on the idea of why Garrett was "annoying" in the beginning without fully realizing all of what you were saying. Garrett's personality has always been fun and quirky (a very different personality to Shane's, which is why they couldn't ever be romantic partners)... and Garrett was trying to offset the mood of Shane trying to make this a very spooky place, when in reality it's a rather typical shop when the lights are turned on. Garrett was only being himself. It only comes across as "annoying" because of the way Shane's portraying it and the way he's trying to play off Shane's bad vibes.

I liked this video, thank you for explaining your thoughts and calling out the behavior. I kind of do wish you had maybe a couple of clips as I don't want to give Shane the views but wanted to look back at the non-verbal exchanges in those moments. I'm a little tempted to thumb through some of these scenes to catch what you're talking about but I won't because I don't want to give it engagement. I do think maybe Bunny was trying to justify how she was being treated in an attempt to feel less embarrassed and maybe avoid more of a negative reaction. Sometimes when dealing with people like Shane, there is this response of them having 'control' so you don't want to do the wrong thing so her saying she was planning to scare them may have been an attempt at "laughing it off" like "haha, me too don't pick on me I'm not weak I promise" It's hard to articulate what I really mean because I have to simulate it in my head to explain but yeah, I'm trying not to use the word narcissist everywhere but when it comes to people who are manipulating it so they always look like the good guy and they make you feel bad for not going along with things then a person responds in a number of ways. Sometimes because subconsciously it is a survival instinct of trying to be "one of the herd" even if you know the behaviour is obviously unfair. Like, when it comes to me and my dad, I tend to not treat my mom respectfully as a reflex and I have to catch myself (I never disrespect her but I find myself being invalidating of her concerns because my dad treats everyone like they are idiots.) Thus, knowing this concept it is kind of hard to explain because it really does push you in a direction to where you don't act like yourself, especially when you are stressed so I'll give her some slack. TBH I'm a little upset at myself that I didn't really see Shane's actions for what they were back then. I knew I didn't like how disrespectful they were but I didn't notice how he was twisting things so much. Maybe because I wanted to believe that he was actually trying to help but I know better now days.
I wondered why Garret stopped filming with them, I was kind of glad he did because I love his energy. He's a bit naive which probably lead to this. He's a lot more authentic and I'm just glad he's doing his own thing. James Charles I also feel bad for because Shane and Jeffery really seemed like they planned making him look bad because of competition for their one makeup collab 🙄 if you watched the series you could see something that tips this off.
I'm on Bunny's side. She welcomed them into her personal space, showed them all her intimate, most treasured belongings and all she demanded in return was some respect. She was clear from the beginning she doesn't want to mess with paranormal or occult stuff due to some bad experiences in the past and Shane completely disregarded all of her wishes and used her for some quick views.

Shane crosses so many boundaries with so many people and it doesn't even phase him. if someone tells him very specifically what they don't want referenced, he will immediately reference it and make a conversation starter (Eugenia Cooney especially), and it just goes to show how terrible of a person he is. using people for clout.
ummm who LIKES funerals? Most of the time if you're at a funeral its because someone you cared about passed away (since you wouldnt just show up at some random persons funeral) so.... its kind of hard to 'enjoy' a funeral when the persona the funeral is FOR is someone that you loved who isnt going to be there anymore. realllllly hard to enjoy that. 0- from a mucker who's been to several funerals and 'touched many dead bodies' (ie- hugged or kissed the forehead of or held the hand of loved ones after they passed)

idk I think there's a big difference between visiting a graveyard of people you don't even know and who probably died decades or hundreds of years before you were even alive - and coming to terms with (or not) with the death of a loved one.
I visit graveyards frequently and find them lovely - but I have a horrible relationship with death as a thing, and don't handle loved ones passing well either.

I never watched old videos of shane and didn’t even know who he was till he got canceled-I was always confused after seeing his modern videos getting roasted why any one liked his stuff, then recently I watched a compilation of his old stuff and omg I fell in love with the group dynamic, (well not shane and his fiancé). Garret and drew had me feeling a part of the group and I loved the chemistry. I remember seeing this in a compilation and it pissed me off to see garret get shit for that
It sucks that watching these at such a young naive age I never I never realized the problems, or cruel things Shane was doing to people kinda sad

I'm from Texas (born and raised) and the gun comments are actually accurate and a needed reminder for some people because home owners in Texas (especially rural areas) aren't going to hesitate.
I work in rural areas, and one day while in training in Austin someone mentioned purple paint..had to explain to the city folk that if you see purple paint you sure as hell stay off the property.

How can you not understand that seeing dead spirits as living **is** a form of grief? Maybe you need to reevaluate your own life instead of judging someone else's. Her thinking of her grandfather as still out in the garden while knowing he's not physically there **IS** grieving his loss. Many forms of spiritual people would agree.

It's not confusing at all to understand why a person who wants to think that people keep living would also be obsessed with graveyards. Graveyards are where you can literally feel the spirits still there of all the people buried. I'm not sure what's confusing about that.
Ugh this bugged me SO much when it happened. Garrett is the purest and I used to like Bunny, but this honestly irritated me and I think kind of led to me not watching her content anymore.

I think you started to touch on the idea of why Garrett was "annoying" in the beginning without fully realizing all of what you were saying. Garrett's personality has always been fun and quirky (a very different personality to Shane's, which is why they couldn't ever be romantic partners)... and Garrett was trying to offset the mood of Shane trying to make this a very spooky place, when in reality it's a rather typical shop when the lights are turned on. Garrett was only being himself. It only comes across as "annoying" because of the way Shane's portraying it and the way he's trying to play off Shane's bad vibes.
i totally get what seh meant when she said she doesnt like funerals and stuff. im the same way i never really got to go to my families funerals so i feel like i didnt really get the proper goodbye or like anything so i just ignore it or i guess just pretend like my grnadpa is still here because i didnt really see him when he was alive either. it kinda just causes me anxiety attacks or something i guess so just ignoring it feels better. shes probably the same in some sort of way
So uncommon objects was my favorite store ever and went there all the time in highschool because I live in austin texas and actually work down the street from where it used to be. It’s absolutely fucked up and haunted and it scared me every time I went in there and the energy is very scary but I loved it. Bunny had a meet up there once that I tried to go to but the line was so long I just left lol
I liked this video, thank you for explaining your thoughts and calling out the behavior. I kind of do wish you had maybe a couple of clips as I don't want to give Shane the views but wanted to look back at the non-verbal exchanges in those moments. I'm a little tempted to thumb through some of these scenes to catch what you're talking about but I won't because I don't want to give it engagement.
I do think maybe Bunny was trying to justify how she was being treated in an attempt to feel less embarrassed and maybe avoid more of a negative reaction. Sometimes when dealing with people like Shane, there is this response of them having 'control' so you don't want to do the wrong thing so her saying she was planning to scare them may have been an attempt at "laughing it off" like "haha, me too don't pick on me I'm not weak I promise" It's hard to articulate what I really mean because I have to simulate it in my head to explain but yeah, I'm trying not to use the word narcissist everywhere but when it comes to people who are manipulating it so they always look like the good guy and they make you feel bad for not going along with things then a person responds in a number of ways. Sometimes because subconsciously it is a survival instinct of trying to be "one of the herd" even if you know the behaviour is obviously unfair. Like, when it comes to me and my dad, I tend to not treat my mom respectfully as a reflex and I have to catch myself (I never disrespect her but I find myself being invalidating of her concerns because my dad treats everyone like they are idiots.) Thus, knowing this concept it is kind of hard to explain because it really does push you in a direction to where you don't act like yourself, especially when you are stressed so I'll give her some slack.
TBH I'm a little upset at myself that I didn't really see Shane's actions for what they were back then. I knew I didn't like how disrespectful they were but I didn't notice how he was twisting things so much. Maybe because I wanted to believe that he was actually trying to help but I know better now days.
I wondered why Garret stopped filming with them, I was kind of glad he did because I love his energy. He's a bit naive which probably lead to this. He's a lot more authentic and I'm just glad he's doing his own thing. James Charles I also feel bad for because Shane and Jeffery really seemed like they planned making him look bad because of competition for their one makeup collab 🙄 if you watched the series you could see something that tips this off.

I'm on Bunny's side. She welcomed them into her personal space, showed them all her intimate, most treasured belongings and all she demanded in return was some respect. She was clear from the beginning she doesn't want to mess with paranormal or occult stuff due to some bad experiences in the past and Shane completely disregarded all of her wishes and used her for some quick views.
