Interesting day and thanks for sharing. I just got promoted to an FP&A / BI manager role. I am still in the accounting and finance dept. So far my first month has been communicating with IT about business requirements, metrics and processes between Oracle, other systems and Power BI. I do not know how to write code or queries but would like to learn one day but that is where our IT team steps in.
Hi Farhein!!! I'm so glad that you share your work life as a BI analyst. I'm a little lost, bc in the end of this year I will have fished Business School. Also, I'm an intern in health sector, more specifically, in the health insurance service. I'm learning English so sorry my bad grammar. Anyway, on my internship I do a lot of data analysis already and I love it bc I can elaborate dashbords so my boss can make decisions more effectively. That's why I started searching about BI! Again, thanks for sharing!! It was an open-minded video for me!! I wanna be a BI analyst just like you!! Bye!!!
Do either of you have any tips or suggestions for training and getting the job? I am debating taking the Triple Ten course for BI Analysts. Are you familiar with the boot camp?
@@LiarsAllergicsimply I can tell you generic business degrees don't help with jobs in Canada, UK, Australia. You need technical skills or the ability to add value either as a doctor or lawyer depending on your education. Certifications help too. What role are you targeting?

As a BI analyst, data cleaning is a significant part of the job. It can vary but often takes up to 50% of the time, as clean and accurate data is crucial for reliable analysis and insights.
Thank you. Yes, sure - a BI Analyst analyzes and interprets data to inform business decisions, using data visualization tools; while a BI Developer builds and maintains the infrastructure and tools that support data analysis, focusing on technical development and data warehousing. Happy to make a video on it too if you like. :)
