    The black L7v is the best looking out of the L7 / L7V range.
    I don't want a Les Paul style guitar but this one keeps me returning for another look. They're absolutely gorgeous.

    I got mine through Sweetwater and absolutely love the L7V with the P90's. At this price point, hard to beat in my opinion. I also have the Revstar RSS02T with P90's as well which is another excellent guitar at this price point. Great video with all the details and checks you did! 👍

      How would you compare the L7V with the Revstar? I’m interesting in both, never had a guitar with P90s before. If you had to choose just one, which would it be?

    • @ew6629

      @@mattmullis4140 First, I had a typo in my original comment, the Revstar is a "RS502T" so I messed up on one letter/number so I don't own the latest version but the prior one. Boy, tough question! I love both of them equally so it's going to have to come down to preference on looks, feel, the neck, etc. Sound wise, both are fantastic at this price point for P90's. The Sire L7V has a Les Paul vibe for looks while the Revstar has its own look and style. I alternate playing both pretty much 50 - 50. I know that doesn't answer your question but that's the reason I own both, I don't have to pick just one. You can't go wrong with either one with the P90's.

      @@ew6629 Thanks for your response, it was helpful! I am leaning towards the Sire, mostly because it's slightly more inexpensive than the Revstar, and I think I'll be happier with the LP shape. Maybe one day I will add a Revstar to my collection as well!

      @@mattmullis4140 Glad it was helpful, even though I didn't answer your question! The LP shape and look of the Sire is beautiful, no doubt about it. That was one of the reasons I purchased it, even though I had the Revstar first and had a good idea tone wise, they were both similar. I wanted a LP looking P90 guitar since I couldn't afford the Gibson Goldtop LP style with P90's costing 3x the Sire L7V. You'll love it for looks as well as tone!

    Nice job. The shielding on the plastic covers doesn't look like it's connected to ground though. (needs to touch a band of copper tape or a wire connected to ground where it's screwed down)

    NICE 1! But wouldn't you have been better OFF, buying directly FROM Sire guitars?
    I got 2 basses from Thomann last year, both came undamaged!
    I got an amp from Monoprice 4 years ago. Came via UPS! Came broken! (Still works, prob got crushed by other cargo! )
    GOT my $ back an kept the amp!

    Do you know why the black is $64 more than the gold top and tobacco burst? Specs seem to be identical. You'd think black would be cheaper, or at least the same price.

    Beaut of a guitar, how is the tuning stability I know les Paul’s can have a g string issue going out of tune eaily with the 3-3:style headstock

    • @650thunderbird
      @650thunderbird  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tuning stability is OK, but the G string had a buzz at the nut when played open (coincidentally, so did the broken neck one). I have nut files and was able to correct that. The factory strings have some corrosion, so will need to be changed.
