Heavy Sky is a Turkish hard rock band formed in Ankara by Batu Akdeniz, Çağlar Töngür, and Hakan Kılıç at the end of 2012. After one year of practice the band performed as "Batu Band and Supermoon" and they made the public eye in a short time. At the end of 2013 bassist Mehmet Öztürk joined the band now named "Heavy Sky", and thus the band took its final form. Heavy Sky is planning to release their first studio album at the end of 2015. They released their first single "Unbreakable" on May 2014 and '' Broken '' in 2015 . Mixing and recording of the single were done at Studio Mirage (Ayhan Aydın, Ugur Karaman, Bulut Gör). The single is mastered by renowned mastering engineer Ryan Smith who has also worked with AC/DC, Scorpions, Joe Bonamassa, Joe Satriani and many other musicians.
The band is influenced by all rock ages. They describe their music as "anxious, noisy and reflecting Ankara's state of mind"
Heavy Sky, 2012 yılının sonunda Batu Akdeniz, Çağlar Töngür ve Hakan Kılıç tarafından kuruldu. 1 yılı aşkın süren çalışmalar sonunda grup BATU, Supermoon gibi isimlerle konserler verdi ve tanınmaya başladı. 2013 yılının sonunda bas gitara Mehmet Öztürk'ün gelmesiyle son haline kavuşan topluluk "Heavy Sky" ismini aldı. 2015'in sonuna doğru bir albüm çıkaracak olan Heavy Sky, ilk video ve single'ını 31 Mayıs'da yayınlamıştır. Single'ın kayıt ve miksini Studyo Mirage (Ayhan Aydın, Uğur Karaman, Bulut Gör) üstlenirken mastering işlemini dünyaca ünlü mastering ustası Ryan Smith (Bon Jovi, ACDC, Scorpions, Buckcherry Joe Bonamassa, Paul Rodgers) üstlendi. İkinci single '' Broken '' ise Temmuz 2015'de yayınlandı.
Heavy Sky, rock müziğin tüm evrelerinden etkilendi. Grup elemanları, müziklerini ' Ankara'nın havasını suyunu almış, kaygılı ve gürültülü ' olarak tanımlıyor.

Batu Akdeniz, I've known you for some time now as a Friend through our mutual love for Rock Music & it still amazes me just how much you along with so many others are younger #rock fans to the earlier #rockmusic that I grew up listening to. Haha, you know that women sometimes don't like to discuss age, but you know that I'm not shy about saying that I am happy to be a born in the 60's & to have grown up while #rocknroll was in it's infancy. Then to see Artists such as you performing covers of songs that I grew up with, knowing that my generation of Rock is revived by younger Artists like yourself, & in turn seeing new Rock Music being created is like a rebirth of the older #rockmusic .
HeavySkyOfficial I have to say that song is so much more than I imagined it to be. You've nailed it with #Unbreakable with a sound that is unforgettable. This brazen #rock #song has a very bold message which is nothing less than awesome, though I know that you've heard this over and over again from your Fans. Your #music , #lyrics , & #vocals are outstanding.
When I listen to this I can think of how so many people can relate this song. I'm not just talking about numbers of people in the same type of situations, no a broader spectrum. I hear this song as a voice for anyone, anywhere in this world that is struggling against anyone, & or anything in their lives. #Unbreakable to me is an inspiration, or rather an Anthem.As was when The Rolling Stones performed "Gimme Shelter", in 1969, soon to be 46 years ago this November 1st. That song meant much to many of the people back then when our worlds was in chaos, and it still rings true to millions of people today.
This world is still in chaos & somewhere, with every second that ticks away on the clock, there are wars within wars. Everyday we have wars, not all are documented wars though. People are battling within their personal lives everyday, everywhere, at home, school, work, with religions, governments, and on the military battlefields, Even within our hearts & our very own souls we face our own wars that are invisible to anyone other than ourselves.
It is a terrible thing to know or to say that with the world of so much acquired knowledge through out all of the time the that we have walked the face of this earth yet, we have not yet acquired that one precious thing called Peace. In our hearts, in our nations, & around the entire world, we cannot say that any of us have ever lived completely in Peace.
People have and will always be unjustly controlled, injured, crippled, loose a loved one, or loose their own life, because someone is trying to harm or kill in any way they can, physically as well as emotionally. Even as I've written this, how many lives will suffer or come to an end at the hand that brings down the injustice of uncalled for cruelty against them? Sadly to say that many of us will go on about our lives today while the countless lives of others are torn apart to never be the same again unimaginable deaths are caused by cold evilness of others.
To escape or stand up to the cruelty that comes from those who's actions to intentionally set to harm physically or mentally, takes courage, and encouragement, along with strength that comes from within ourselves and the support others in our lives.
It is inevitable that at some point in time we all suffer to degrees by the hand of another, therefore to survive, heal, and to go on in life we must become #Unbreakable
