I just bought one of my 3 sons a like brand new CZ 550 in 416 Rigby and he just loves it and the CZ are special in that they carry 4 besides one in the chamber which is one more then most of these guns carry!
I envy few for their possessions, but I do envy you good sir. Gorgeous rifle and Rigbys are truly top shelf, made in London, rifles. You can order them bespoke and they prefer you do. Highland Stalker is an achievable purchase for most and can go up to 9.3x62 which is more then enough for any big game in North America and Europe. Magnum 98 in 416 Rigby is still my wet dream tho...😢

Rigby's are the standard for others to try to meet. The Mauser action for one thing, the design of the stock for another, they've got function and from melded perfectly, no more pleasing bolt rifle to the eye out there. This one has less extravagent wood which is how many of them came back in the day, it harkens back to those. Good review. You can tell a pro reviewing an express rifle cos they're not making a fetish of the recoil like so many others do, the endless slo-mo recoil replays that are really tedious. None of that here. I am planning my first African Safari. I have narrowed my rifle choices down to either the Heym 88b double rifle in 450-400 calibre or the Rigby Big Game Rifle in 416 Rigby calibre. I like my guns without all the art, gold inlays, high grade wood stocks and scrollwork. This Rigby you have is really nice. What grade of wood is the stock and what type of finish does it have? Or is that the standard stock, color and finish? I really like that red color very much.
Where I hunt in Canada and Africa a scope isn’t needed. Too much bush. I just wish Rigby would make a 18” barrel but they would not do that for me @@FVR375

Great video!! I would use swift a frames( i have used aframes in 300 win and 9.3x62 for 20 + years, partition very soft on front end and loose a lot of weight,) anyday over a partition!!, lovely rifle but shame its not stainless synthetic!!

How much per round?
Somewhat dependent on brand etc. factory ammunition generally 12-15$ per round. Can be handloaded significantly cheaper than this.
