Tell that to the immigrant slaves that come into the gulf countries like the emirates promise high wages and a better life, only to be met with the exact opposite. Many face discrimination and unfair employment practices, making less than a dollar, having to borrow money from their families back home, dying in some of the worst ways possible at alarming rates. All of this just kilometres away from the tall skyscrapers, luxury hotels and rich people’s utopia.

I know Phillipinas who work in UAE as Nannies or in Hotels as service staff ... 7 days per week ... and get paid less than 2 days of his spendings (500 per day) for 30 days work sendung the most of the money home there a big family clan must live from. Ridiculous the habit of this dude to call it cheap.

@@wikisfortress5937um not really, am in Africa no one works the way they work people in uae like that. The point is they KNOW how to live well so why not offer the basics to everyone. I was there last week and during rush hour traffic saw construction workers in buses with windows open and no AC it was 40 celcius!
There is no excuse for this type of behavior.

They're getting enslaved by their own governments in their home countries too. You're talking as if Emirates is forcing them to come and work. Workers literally go there because the conditions in their own countries are even worse. Plus, a lot of western countries like the USA and France are also involved in cheap/slave labor, but they just do it abroad in countries in Asia and Africa to avoid getting questioned.
