"No plot just vibes." 😂 so true. I personally hated both ACOFAS and the Night Circus because of it, but I do understand why they are appealing to some people. But The Night Circus just didn't do it for me at all, even with the beautiful writing 😖
acosf was just not it😳 and honestly i haven’t read any of the night circus since i filmed this video and im not sure if i do plan on picking it up again which is sad because i also love the writing but i just don’t know if it’s for me?? i feel like we have very similar reading tastes and if you didn’t like it then yikes
@@katieisreading yeah it didn't lead to anything. And the "big build up" to the competition was for nothing. Nothing happens in the book. Even my friend who enjoyed it said that the ending was BS for sure aha

I loved The Night Circus’ writing but I didn’t like how much the timeline skipped years of time. But I hope you like it more the more you read it! I’m currently reading the Starless Sea and I prefer The Night Circus.

I am genuinely confused when people say The Night Circus has no plot. I thought it absolutely did. It became my favorite book of all time. Mostly for the vibes but also for the overall plot.
a fair point, i think just the fact that it skips around a bunch has thrown me off from the plot, but it does have a fantastic overarching plot! i'm so glad you loved it! i still haven't finished it but i plan to get back into it soon
this book was just a bridge to the acosf and it was kinda nice to see the characters just live without war so they can just BE. it could’ve been more interesting tho. maybe more humor and drama
