Subhaan Allaah.. sounds like the marriage I was in 3 yrs ago. The Wali (from a Masjid) said " You should've done your research" after I asked them to help me get a khula'. Turns out they knew this brother for years, his history and everything. I didn't know anything about him. May Allaah have mercy upon us, forgive us & educate us Ameen
