I was at Loftus for that Bulls vs Glasgow final, and even though we lost in the end, the atmosphere was electric. Not to mention being part of the Champions Cup, which is definitely a level of club rugby I didn't see much when we were in Super Rugby
Sadly, (as it’s been bad for ‘Southern Hemisphere’ Rugby) I fear that NZ & Australian rugby administrator arrogance & poor judgment cost them dearly in the fact of & manner in which they turfed SA rugby. SA teams are still warming up to this competition. Even us fans are typically interested in watching the local head-to-head games. I am planning on watching all the Sharks home games this year. I think I watched 4 last year.
With SA inclusion, I find it crazy how Leinster are perpetual favourites and still haven’t won the competition. I’m so glad we joined! I’d be open to the Boks being part of both the 6N as well as TRC and using the July and November windows to play lesser tier nations. One year touring the Americas, another year we tour the Pacific, then another year it’s the African continent and then another year we tour Europe.
URC really feels like the best product out there right now. Rarely do you find a league where all the teams involved benefit on and off the field, the results are shown even on the international stage. Long may it continue and hopefully they don't let this all go because of greed and neglect just because they're making enough money. Sharks, Lions let's get those numbers up at the stadium
I miss the free running of Super Rugby, but move North has been a big catalyst for Bok rugby evolving. Getting used to the often pedantic Northern hemisphere reffing can be a challenge, but helps the Boks at international level, where as AB's & Aus have to adapt much more to interpretations, as their domestic refs can't officiate their international games
The free running end-to-end basketball rugby is most off-putting to me....don't get me wrong, I love running rugby, but I love a game that requires tactical superiority prior to it breaking open. A beautifully placed kick, a dominant scrum, big dominant hits, that's what makes rugby special to me.
It is fantastic for SA rugby as a whole, and rugby as a whole, too! And I hope (against hope probably, seeing the politics like us losing the 2023 RWC) that Rassie can become chairman of World Rugby - after winning a third in a row RWC in dry conditions for a change - and take his genius, and WR, to another level.
Imagine a world where the premiership teams join the urc and you have a 1st and second devision urc tournament.with promotion relagation making the bottom of the log games count .That would mean strength vs strength all weekend long.also imagine a world with a week or 2 more set aside for international test matches in November and june so tier 2 teams get more game time against tier one and we can got backto 3 test series tours in July. would choose Saracens, Harlequins, Bristol Bears, Leicester Tigers and Sale Sharks as the 5 from England (maybe instead of Bristol, Bath, so visitors have some sightseeing program ....)
Better choice will probably be an Anglo-Welsh comp. Like how in football the Welsh teams have the chance to qualify for the Premier League. But rather than having the Welsh regions joining, revive the Welsh club teams to be the top Welsh teams again, and disband the Regions and add the teams to the Championship for the 1st season, then the top 4 of the Championship that qualify with the premiership requirements advance to the Premiership
The problem with Super Rugby is that a NZ team will most likely be the champions again while the URC has had 3 different champions from 3 different countries in 3 seasons. The URC is much more competitive than Super Rugby. The URC is only growing year on year and will eventually be the number 1 Rugby Union League in the the world.

@@ClutchRugbyXV Yes. And they do it again in summer, but that gets around 40,000. Saracens do 55,000 in Tottenham stadium when they host harlequins. Leinster will do 80,000 this weekend. Toulouse play some games in the larger stadium but is sadly only 33,000 but last time they played there the demand was far higher, as 90,000 people tried to get tickets. Toulouse also had expansion plans to go to 40,000 but that fell through. This one i am not a familiar with but I believe Toulon vs Toulouse get around 40,000 in Marseille stadium. La Rochelle would expand, but don’t have the space. A large proportion of the 16,000 seats are season tickets, for which the waitlist i’ve heard is about 2 years. However there are sadly clubs the complete polar opposite like Newcastle and Sale who get around 5,000. And zebre even less

No judgment here in terms of your pronunciation of Mngomezulu as some South Africans struggle but calling him a scrumhalf? Interesting video nonetheless
I don't think he ever said that. Not even implied in the title. The point of the video was to analyse SA's impact into creating what the URC has become, in that case it is mostly South Africa. The NZRU have always been incredibly arrogant, and I hate to say, quite crooked at times (as in their ref, Bryce Williams cheating the Boks out of a semifinal place in 2011 by his pathetic reffing in the GF against the Aussies, a much easier opponent for the winless-for-20-RWC-years ABs in their home RWC) and really deserve all they're not getting at the moment.
The URC is only growing year on year and will eventually be the number 1 Rugby Union League in the the world.
if it’s not already so!
I just wish they'd sort out the travelling arrangements - Qatar Qattle Qlass sounds really kak for rugby players. Do it the French way - I travelled up from Joburg to Heathrow in April in the same plane as the Lyon players who had been thrashed the day before by the Bulls, and they were all in Business Class!
[BTW that was obviously a Champion's cup match but close enough... ]

Yoh i spit out Cyril's water when i heard that😂😂
Harlequins in the perm does an 80,000 game every year
is this at Twickenham....

Saying its all South Africa is wrong.
It's not all south africa but without their inclusion it would still be the Pro 14 which wasn't nearly as well supported. What are your thoughts
I don't think he ever said that. Not even implied in the title. The point of the video was to analyse SA's impact into creating what the URC has become, in that case it is mostly South Africa. Or do you think it's the English lapdog Welsh or hit and miss Italians that boosted it to sky high records. Just eat the humble pie bud.
Scotland and Ireland are always solid as well.

@@ClutchRugbyXV I will just because I was personally asked. Plus your content is solid. This was my first vid and I watched a couple others, look forward to seeing you skyrocket in the youtube rugby scene, which you almost definitely will.
The recipe from the current trends and an educated guess is don't hate on the boks and admire what SA are doing and you'll be golden, worked for Eggchasers, Timm all the way. But you're solid too bru.

If only SA fans can get behind our teams and fill up those empty stadiums.. really heartbreaking to see. Some fixtures like Stormers vs Bulls pulls the fans.. but still- way too empty

Definitely not what it once was
@@Dkouts yup, it’s rather sad looking at the empty stadiums, even in Rugby strongholds like Eden Park!!!
@@ClutchRugbyXV South African home games aren't much better outside of derby's. couple thousand for the recent games, and for the games when the Springboks aren't playing they still aren't half the capacity of the stadiums despite millions living in the cities.
Some really bad data given in this video 🤦🏾♂️ it’s bad enough you butcher Sacha Feinberg-Mnogomezulu’s name but you can’t even look up what position he plays? Less AI when writing your scripts next time please.

The disrespect for South Africa is real, and we always have the last laugh.
Stewing in their own juice.
It's a kak league😂
