I'm going to Iceland in a few months, and I was looking for drone footage to inspire, but what I saw in this film is mind-blowing. Suspense, depth, scale, and this music! Pure perfection

Absolutely inspiring videos, made me by a drone and out Iceland right at the top of the holiday list. Could I please request a session on your flying techniques and settings for your drone. Thanks in advance
Thanks! Weird, but I didn’t see your comment up until now. Sorry for the late reply. My drone settings are simple - I put the brightness on -0.7 and that’s it. Regarding technique, I prefer flying in straight lines, without much of sideway movement. Also, rotating is much more difficult, so it’s prone to unsmoothness.
Beautiful video! We are going to visit Iceland soon with our Mavic Mini :) Do we need to have any special permission to fly drone in some of these places? Is it easy to get this?
What drone did you use and was it windy when you flew? Amazing video! Going in early September and looking to buy a drone that could withstand some windy days.
I've just came back from Iceland with my drone... and I was so angry... because there was so few opportunuties to fly. Nearly everywhere it was either raining or strong wind or both... and of course in the most interesting tourist places it was forbiden to fly drones. Or on places like the well known Reynisfjara Black beach there was so many birds that I would lost the drone for sure. So I have only some 6 videos from the whole trip around the island. :((( And from your list I was on: - Hverfjall Crater - strong wind that nearly blow myself away (I didn't even try to start the drone) - Fjadrargljufur Canyon - it was raining... and well, my drone is not waterproof - Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon - of course you can not miss this... but again there was strong wind with a little bit of rain ...and of course many other places.
Yeah, the weather in Iceland is so unpredictable. I also wanted to shoot more, especially of the volcano. But the 6 videos you got must still be very impressive, cherish that. :)
Heading out to Iceland in a few days. Did you have to get any special permission to do this. I was taking my mini 3 pro and wanted to get similar shots
I really enjoyed watching your video of these magnificent places. My only concern is the disruption to wildlife in the canyons, such as nesting birds. Having said this, your flying was superb, and the composition for each drone shot was very nice. I am hopeful that you got permits to fly at Jokulsarlon, and if you did you should have mentioned this in your write up as this seems to be a problem with a lot of drone pilots. I got permission to fly in a number of environmentally sensitive areas from the Environmental Protection Agency from Iceland and it did not cost anything so hopefully people will read my comment and do the same. I leave for Iceland in a few hours so thanks again for these stunning visuals.

It was to windy... no, stormy! I actually tried to fly the drone, but it started to drift away right after the launch, I just managed to land it right before losing it. The guards at the volcano told me there were already some 100 or so drones in the volcano... :)
Depends. On the ground you get the real feeling of being there and seeing it in detail. Both perspectives are impressive. You should definitely go visit these places... :)
Sometimes pictures and video don't do justice and you need to see the beauty with your own eyes.
Yes. Actually, they almost never do. So go and see with your own eyes! 👍

Very stunning footage! How long did u stay there to gather all this footage? What period of the year? Thanks for your answer in advance ;-)
We were there end of May, beginning of June. For a total of 10 days.

No, if it's a Mini, technically, it's not even a drone :)
I think they consider Drone is a drone is a drone. That definition can’t be bent. It’s now a revenue source for them so why not.
¡Qué belleza!
Thank you!
What drone did you use and was it windy when you flew? Amazing video! Going in early September and looking to buy a drone that could withstand some windy days.
Hi Sam! I flew a DJI Mini 2. But, of course, the heavier the drone, the more stable it should be.

Have a great trip! No special permits needed as my Mini 2 is below 249g. But not sure about your case, so better check reliable sources.
