    when you want your parchment to lie flat, crumble it up in a ball and then put it on your sheet. It works great!

    Wow! You are a rockstar cooking all these different meals for everyone. That is a ton of work and you are doing such a fantastic job and you're so calm and relaxed. Inner peace is amazing.
    I have been watching this while getting my meatloaf prepared and in the oven. That's what's for dinner here tonight; meatloaf, steamed jasmine rice, and brussel sprouts. Normlly I make green beans with this meal but my brussel sprouts are looking sad so I need to get them cooked.
    I dont know if you are aware and did this on purpose or not but at minute 31:38 when you were talking about Aaron and the military, the speed seemed to have been fast forwarded. It made me giggle hearing you talking so fast. I hope you meant to do that because I thought it was cute. It reminded me of when we would inhale helium from the balloons from the store and we talk/laugh at one another. Brought back some fun childhood memories.
    Blessings 🙏

    Do you like the Re lyte? I tried it a couple months ago. It doesn't dissolve very good in water and very salty. I'm sure it's supposed to be like that though. I do love their salt and season salt though. Their season salt is good on homemade popcorn. Thank you for your videos!

    • @RowesRising
      @RowesRising  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I love it!! We use one of those battery powered mixers and it mixes great with that or a shaker bottle. We need salt!! We don’t get hydrated well enough with plain water- that’s why the recommendations for water intake are so high. Salted water is more easily used and absorbed by our bodies. They finally have the large season salt in stock- yay!

    • @lindseymiller8165
      @lindseymiller8165 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have to leave the reltye to dissolve. I usually wait 10 or minutes. And it is completely dissolved. It is salty but that kind of the point.

    That’s really interesting about your children eating the fresh wheat berries. I’ve often wondered about the account of Jesus’s disciples eating the wheat berries right out of the field. I guess I always thought they were hard like when I use them before milling them. But I’m assuming after what you’ve said, that they aren’t real hard when first harvested??

    • @RowesRising
      @RowesRising  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If they are at the proper level of moisture/dryness- they may be harder. I don’t have a method to determine their hydration. We may have picked them too soon and they were kinda sweet and milky. From what I understand- wheat has to have a very specific moisture content to be harvested otherwise it will mold or have fungus. I don’t have a meter to measure hydration. I need to learn all of this.

      @@RowesRising well your all ready well beyond my knowledge, other than I know the disciples ate them. Lol

    • @RowesRising
      @RowesRising  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are tasty fresh!! I can see why they did eat them. It was probably normal to eat them raw, but preservation of large quantities became the norm for bread etc.

    • @RowesRising
      @RowesRising  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Excellent observation!! I always wipe my knife after sharpening- sometimes on a cloth or on my apron. I need to watch back- did I use another cutting board? I’ll be more careful in the future with the surface I sharpening on. Thank you Cheryl!!

    Actually, you’ll never find roaches in flour. Roaches breath through their belly (ugh) so flour will definitely smother and kill them. Found this out from the bread baker in our restaurant’s kitchen. We also have a pastry chef who agreed.

    • @RowesRising
      @RowesRising  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Weevils. Female weevils lay eggs in the wheat kernel in the field, and occasionally those eggs survive the milling process and end up in the bag of flour you bought from the store.

    Can you have pork or porkfat? When we grind up our venison, we always add 20% pork fat to it. It's too bland and too lean if we don't.
    BTW, now i want meatballs for dinner tomorrow. 😂

    • @RowesRising
      @RowesRising  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh yes- I just made 3lbs of bacon and saved the fat. I also raised two pigs and we saved all the fat from them and I render lard. When get deer processed they put beef fat in it.

    • @minnamae25
      @minnamae25 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RowesRising never tried beef fat, but i sure do know that pork fat makes venison delicious. It's all we ever use. Next time you get a deer, try making some hamburger with the pork fat. We're not a fan of certain meat's from pork, like the hock for instance. So we toss that stuff in the hamburger too. This year we made a delicious breakfast sausage with my deer. OH MY GOSH, I wanna eat it all the time. So yum yum
