I sure appreciate you posting this video. We’re putting up our 20x60 nursery house very soon and there were several golden nuggets in this video that I truly appreciate you sharing! 2 questions: 1. What size lumber did you use for base and hip boards for this one. Looks like maybe 2x4 & 2x6? 2. Do you suggest using a strip of protective plastic on the ends when putting up the plastic or just on the sides? Thank you again!
@@merrittfarms6246 2x4s or 2x6s are good for the hip board you need to be 2x8s or 2x10s for the baseboard cuz they're ground contact treated. A protective piece of plastic is good everywhere if you can. Thanks for watching!
Looks good. I'm about 15 miles North of Wilmington putting my first house up. 20x32, plastic going on sometime this week or as soon as the wind lays down.
Cool! Thanks for the instruction. What I haven’t understood is how you quickly roll up that length of skirt and fix the role in the up position when you need to cool the greenhouse
You did use wigglewire on the ends only, so on the sides and over the top from left to right? I also think this is the best way I can also do this way get front and back better fitted when do include this in the rail with top plastic.
I’m making a hobby greenhouse. Is there a reason why I shouldn’t put the plastic inside the structure as opposed to over it? I live in an area prone to very strong wind. I feel the plastic would last longer inside the structure with pvc coated chicken wire over the whole thing. Bad idea?
Did you cover the ends with the same poly used over the top? If so, did you use the same channel with another wiggle wire to hold the front and back plastic? I’m gathering materials for a May build. Do you have a video showing your builds on the ends? Doors? Windows?
I have mine ready, 2.20 high, 5 x 6 meters wide. But get tension into the foly is challence, I do not now where to start first. on to or on one side, and also I need warmth, to cold do not work. Have you good tips. I go wachting your video to see. Unfortanely I have to that nice springs set U use, I have clamps.
You show using clips attached to your wiggle wire track used for attaching the rope. Can you provide link or information for those clips as I’ve been unsuccessful in my search for those. Thank you
I think I know what your talking about. The ropes that zig zag down the side curtains. They hold the side curtains tight against the greenhouse, so It doesn't flop in the wind. The clips are designed for this purpose and are available from most greenhouse suppliers.

Awesome work, good to see y'all still at it.

The side curtains have long handles that can be "propped" against the ground to prevent unrolling
really nice set up thanks

Tell us how it worked on the inside.

You got it! That's exactly how its done. I have a whole Playlist on my channel about greenhouses, check it out!
@@CherryHillFarm we’re debating doing the sides first, then top. But you chose the top first. Is there a major difference?
@@nathalie703 I'm just always in a hurry to get the top on while there is no wind. That's my reasoning.

How do you know what side to put on the greenhouse
It has writing on it indicating "this side down"
Did you make a installation video of the hoop house I could look up?
There's a couple greenhouse build series on the channel. All in a Playlist
Is that wiggle wire track just screwed into PVC on the ends of the greenhouse?
It's screwed to the end bows. They are galvanized steel.

Check with Nolts Greenhouse Supplies in Leola Pennsylvania
I'm watching 2 years after you made the video..how is the tarp holding up ?
It’s in good shape, it has about a 4-6 year life
That is tighter than a 2 day watch!
how long is your greenhouse and how wide is it?
14x104
What brand green house equipment do you run?
I'm not partial to any brand name. I usually buy from Nolts greenhouse supplies in Pennsylvania.
"This is scetchy" but you go up anyway with no safety harness ? Kids need a Daddy.
I dont understand what the rope is for (?)
The rope we use to pull the plastic over the bows?
@@CherryHillFarm ohhhhhhh, ok. Yes
And what are the clips that you use for the rope?
