    Wonderful countryside!
The Super Meteor conjures a kinda magic in that setting.

Nice one TBW, we're so lucky to have these brilliant places to ride literally on our doorstep, weaving through Lancashire into Yorkshire and back again is one of my favourite rides out. ...😊

Thank you Dave for taking me on your ride out. The bike sounded great. The views were spectacular. If I had deep pockets... I would probably buy a Triumph Speed Twin 1200. What a beautiful bike. You take care and ride safe. Cheers from Western Washington State.

Love the video. The TOB is one of my favourite run outs. Just need to tell you the cafe you went to at Slaidburn is the Riverbank tea room. Puddleducks cafe is at Dunsop Bridge.

What a coincidence Dave, me and my daughter were up there on Wednesday and the weather was beautiful, sorry it was bad for you two .
And we had some dinner at Puddle ducks cafe , best cheese and ham toasties we've had for ages , followed by peardrops flavour ice cream .
The views up there are amazing, I've sent you a couple of photos.
    Cheers 🍻
    Mel.

That looks like a ride I must also do especially if I can find a nice sunny day. I’ll be at Motorcycle Live on the 18th but I’ll let them know you’re coming so they can be ready for you..🤣. Oh and that moron who cut down the tree should be made to stand there holding its branches aloft for the rest of his days. 😡
And as for the music, I vote to keep it in. 🎶👍

Are you getting concerned by the reports of the 650 Scrambler? You'll have to buy that as well😀. Really enjoyed that vid. Cheers

Cheers Andy….I’m sort of vaguely interested in the putative 650 scrambler but whether it would persuade me to swap the Pan remains to be seen 😁

I agree with increasing the preload on the rear. From day one I thought I may have made a mistake with the purchase (bought it based on media hype before they even arrived into New Zealand), because it had thrown me off the seat and up into the air on several occasions! I don't know how to fly, nor do I have a superman cape, so it was a very confusing time in my life. I eventually figured out that the rear suspension had minimal travel and was simply hitting the bumpers on occasion, so by increasing the preload by one notch only, the problem disappeared (well, almost!). I'm over 6,000 km's on the odo now, and the suspension has mellowed a bit I'd have to say.

Living not far from the trough of Bowland i agree with you completely but the road surface in some parts has really deteriated in the last few years some i don't think have seen tarmac for 20 years.

What lovely riding. If they do find whoever cut that tree down what would happen to them? A community service order picking up litter but in reality spending the day on their mobile phone more than likely.

They may be perfectly good motorcycles but they are not classics. My 1965 Triumph TR-6 is almost 60 years old. I have had her for 40 years. Everday transportation as I don't have a car. Serviceing a classic Triumph is easy. I won't touch a new one. Let's see how many of these bikes are still on the road in 40 years. I have 400,000 miles on my 1999 HD Sportster which is 25 years old and still is running on the original engine untouched . Had to clean the carburetor because it was full of crap. Runs great. Easy to maintain.

    • @thebingleywheeler

Controversy!!!!! “Trough of Bowland lies within Lancashire “
Any self respecting Yorkshireman should know that much of the area lies within the historic West Riding of Yorkshire “stolen” from Yorkshire during local govt reorganisation in the 1970s. If you look at some of the old signposts in the area you can still see the West Riding marking. Also you’ll find old boundaries marked with the letters WR.
    Pedantry is alive and well!😂

@24:37 The cattle grid at the top there used to be the border between Lancashire and Yorkshire. Amazing how close Yorkshire came to the Irish Sea!
