When I was living in Tokyo back in the eighties, my sister kindly sent me this album on a tape cassette and I listened to it every Christmas thereafter. It is magical. Especially because the choir sings "From England to Japan" in the carol (that I had never heard of before getting the cassette) featured at 36:45. The cassette finally gave up the ghost one or two years ago. I am so happy to have discovered the album here. Thank you for uploading it.

That's really going too far based on the evidence here! Alas, right now, the choir has been strangled by the cathedral higher-ups. They haven't plumped for women altos or girls singing soprano, but they seem committed to killing off the choir as a world-class ensemble, leading to Martin Baker's resignation. th-cam.com/video/Fyk0wWlKCRI/w-d-xo.html

Anyone noticed the spelling of cathedral with the extra ‘e’ on the vinyl sleeve used in the video thumbnail making it cathed-E-ral? It’s not a consistent spelling as the word is spelt correctly immediately below. Is there a reason for that or is it just a cock-up by record producers?
