  • Jason Lim from Instruo came to SchneidersLaden to introduce himself and his instruments to our guests. After his short performance he talks us through the patch he was playing. Take a close look at what Jason brought with him, there are some brand new designs in his case - including an ADSR - Cèis, a loop sampler - Lùbadh*, a granular sampler Arbhar, filter, utilities and more!
We are impressed of the whole product line and the passion Jason puts into his work. And we can't wait to try all the new modules again! Next chance to see them will be at SUPERBOOTH19 - 9-11 May at FEZ Berlin. See you there!
*Jason wrote us after the workshop to give us the correct time and quality numbers for the Lùbadh, so here they are: Each looper side will have 6.5 minutes of record time each at 96K/24Bit.

Inspirational performance and the breakdown of the patch is super illuminating. Beautiful!

Jason Lim definitely helps make Eurorack more interesting. This video in particular made me reconsider the utility of Scion as a performance aid.

This is one of the best live modular performances I’ve seen. And I’ve seen a lot! Now I want an entire instruo set up! I’d love to see the modular grid for this. So inspiring to see an instrument maker who is an accomplished musician also, the nuances really show in the hardware. Max kudos to Jason, much love and respect. ❤️

No worries mate, love your modular stuff eh :-) I’ve been getting to grips with VCV Rack and I love it! An inexpensive way into modular and maybe one day hardware Jason :-)

Starting 22:00 is so interesting ... differentiating drum patterns but without total randomness ... need to watch this a few more times ... does it need an adsr that gives out pulses after every phase as he describes before?

    • @instruo

VictorSteiner I think there should be many ways to achieve similar results. The method I demonstrate is a patch a stumbled upon quite recently and have been refining.
I was drawn to it largely because it is an all analogue patch that plays very nicely and seems to stay rhythmically consistent!
I had this sort of patching in mind when refining the combined trigger output on the Cèis envelope.
Still much to explore with it I think!

Instruō thanks for the explanations! +Schneidersladen, will you start selling the Cèis? Can‘t find it in your shop.
