Yes, there are a lot of available materials that could be used. I wanted stay with as much "natural" material that I could along with using a material which has been mostly been ignored. I get a lot of pheasant tail skins from my hunter friends and have an abundance of leftover rumps. I challenged myself to tie a fly that incorporated this material.
