My BF used to go when he was small kus he’s from Zacatecas but came to the US when he was 5. And now he cannot go back because his dad passed away and had his passport but the family isn’t in contact with him and they’re in California. He’s here in AZ he wants to go home and find where his mom is buried. He also doesn’t know where his dad is buried or if he is cremated. 😭

I took my kids to Zacatecas 3 years ago for the first time. I was worried they wouldn't like it or be picky about the food. Omg they had a blast and loved the food. They want to go back again. My mom is from teocaltiche, Jalisco and my dad is from Guadalajara . I haven’t been back to Mexico since 2014 and I miss visiting so much. Every time we went it felt so good to reconnect with our culture even though my sister and I were both born in the US. We love visiting our family in Mexico and we hope to go soon
