This game was so hard! I played this when I was 7 or 8 years old. I don't think we ever got past the viking level.

I never knew there was a video game adaptation of the cartoon. I remember watching the cartoon when I was a child, but I never got to finish it because I moved to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Which meant, no Family Channel over there. But thankfully as an adult, I finished it and I loved it so much. I felt like I was 6 to 7 again watching it on The Family Channel.
The cartoon only lasted for two seasons, it had some plot holes, but overall it was a very good cartoon. The voice of Prince Valiant is Robby Benson, and Valiant's love interest Princess Aleta is voiced by Paige O'Hara. Wow! That's quite a Disney reunion if you know what I mean. 😊
At the end of Season 2, the cartoon was cancelled. Why? Because the head of The Family Channel at that time thought it was too violent. That head of The Family Channel was none other than the host of The 700 Club, Pat Robertson. Even though I'm a non-denominational Christian, I never liked Pat Robertson. And as much as I don't like to speak ill of the dead, Pat Robertson was a bigot and a jerk.

to make music sound better change the NTSC region of the game in the emulator music sounded much faster and better and this was my favorite game as a child by his second level shooter

They're pretty fucking good for 8-bit sounds, IMO. Been too long since you've watched or played any NES, hasn't it?

Oh wow. Just rewatching the cartoon, which I barely remember from when it was still on tv in 1991. BUt this game must have been out around the latest part of the NES lifespan. Looks great though, so it shows it was almost pushing the system to the max in a way. NOICE!

Are you serious? The NES has games from 1987 that look better than this. If you want to see a game that pushes the NES, check out Batman - Return of the Joker. The guys at Ocean would never have been able to deliver a game like that. They were the masters of shovelware.

Does anyone knows the music composer of this game ? Sounds like Tim Follin from time to time.

      Keith Tinman.

It was Keith Tinman of Special FX Software, though the game's sound engine was by Jonathan Dunn of Ocean Software.

100% walkthrough with cheats. See a dozen of times, when player should get a hit, but his/her energy bar remains full.
