1964 Fordson Tractor Gas (Petrol)

This is a Gas (Petrol) 1964 Fordson Dexta. It is similar to an MF35. Some of the options on this specific tractor include the secondary fuel tank and a live PTO. These tractor are not common in the United States and were mostly sold in the UK and Canada. This tractor is currently located at the time of this filming in north east Ohio, but appears to have made its way down from Ontario, CA based on a dealership label on the hood. I dont claim to be an expert on this tractor, but form my understanding the gas (petrol) model is somewhat of a rare bird. I have looked it up online and at one point they were not though to have existed from factory in this configuration.

Thank you for this. I’ve inherited my dad’s tractor and I’m learning as I go. She had a cracked cylinder block so I’ve now had that fixed via lock and stick.
I’m such a novice that I don’t even know how to check how much diesel she has in her. The other day I turned her on before the engine man came and I had to google how to turn her off again!
But I’ll get there.

In Britain where the Dexta was built the headlights were placed in the grille hence the circles in the grille. In other countries the headlights were, by law, required to to be on the outside of the hood.

before 1963 the headlights were on the outside and after 63 they were placed in the grill

My Dexta is a 1959 and the headlights are on the side.

It originally came form a dealership in Ontario, Canada . It somehow made its way down to Northeast Ohio where I live and still have it.
