Set list is 01 Interview 02 New Invention 03 Leave Me Alone (Stripped) 04 Social Climb (Stripped) 05 Boys Don’t Cry I’ve considered doing a video for LMA as well since it also gets the stripped treatment, but there’s like 15 official LMA videos, do we really need another? Let me know what you think by upvoting or downvoting this comment. Maybe it's just because of the original music video, but the album version sounds like a large corporation, meanwhile, this is a cult being run in a basement.
It sounds exactly like a mix between the album and acoustic Social Climb, it's awesome and absolutely beautiful. I don't know where it comes from but it definitely deserves more recognition
Right?? I feel the only thing missing from it is the whoa-oh-oh-oh’s and it would be perfection. And it’s from a SiriusXM performance, I linked the entire performance in the description. They also do a Stripped version of Leave Me Alone as well which is just as good.
this is my favorite social climb version! i was also surprised not a lot of people knew about this even though it was on that radio thing the same time the boys dont cry cover got played
Isn’t it weird? Because yeah, if I’m not mistaken… this performance was the very first time they played Boys Don’t Cry. @idkhowupdates uploaded the entire performance but it got taken down pretty quickly… so there IS video of these songs out there somewhere, but I had only grabbed the audio before it was removed. Wish I would have grabbed the video instead! But yes, this is by far the best version of Social Climb, imo. By the looks of the numbers the video is getting, most of y’all agree.
@@SmokeyMcPotProductions i didn’t realize there were videos! i thought it was only boys dont cry that had it. i guess i just didn’t check enough but it for sure would have been nice if we got a video for all the songs.
@@therealbrobecks yes! The Boys Don’t Cry video on the official iDKHOW channel is from this session, so the other songs pretty much look the same as that video. I remember I was in a hurry when I ripped the audio… and I figured I could just grab the video later on. Now, it’s seemingly lost to time. I’ve gone thru the SiriusXM channel many times looking for the entire performance, or at least one of the other songs but they only have the Boys Don’t Cry one as well. Hopefully someday someone who also recorded it will come forward with it. Until then, I’ve got the audio… which is better than nothing!
Okay, so… I was mistaken. While @idkhowupdates DID record the entire performance on their phone, the actual video portion consists only of a screen grab of the SiriusXM radio interface… IE, there never was video of the performance. Well, at least not publicly available… as the video for Boys Don’t Cry leads me to believe the rest of the performance was filmed as well, just never uploaded publicly. Apologies for any confusion or false hope 😓
really appreciate you sending all of em sources down there even tho not a lot of people might need it it is very cool of you to do so and I don't listen to IDK a lot guess I could try it
I highly suggest you try. They only have one full length album and an EP so it’s not a lot of material to go through, but in case you couldn’t tell they’re definitely one of my favorites.

Yeah a lot of people haven’t. There’s a lot of acoustic versions out there but this is one of a kind for sure.
