Blackpool Illuminations Express (ft 45596 Bahamas)

On Saturday 16th November 2024 we took a trip to Blackpool by steam train! We joined the Blackpool Illuminations Express railtour at Crewe. Our noble steed was LMS Jubilee Class 45596 "Bahamas" - such a beautiful engine!
Lovely day out! Thank you to Vintage Trains for allowing us to tag along for a one way trip!

Very good enthusiast's vid.
I remember Bahamas at Dinting, shuffling up and down like a zoo animal. Much better out and about.
I suppose they'll all have to have pantographs and immersion heaters in a bit - like those on the Zillertalbahn.
Hope you all enjoyed your trip. You are probably going to be snowed in this weekend I expect.
We might have the odd shower in Kent . . . but it will be cold water at this time of the year.
