Bro honest question what is the solution. In usa lot of liberal states have laws for squaters (who occupy a house illegally) and they cant be removed from house will samdish allow squaters if they occupy his property. Yes this is sad and obviously even the people ordering it wont like it but if you occupy government land for even 50 years does it become justified. They were allowed to live rent free for 30 years and they should have moved away after buying some legal land elsewhere the over majority of people giving power to jatin the kid wont even allow him inside their homes fact is that.

@@anshupandit4490You may be right ...they may have been 'illegal' residents of the place... BUT isn't it the responsibility of so called elected leaders to at least try to provide them with basic 'integrity' to live? Are the people 'enjoying' their life there that they don't want to leave the place?Did the govt helped anyone to move out the place in any manner in these 30 years? Is the 'govt' so weak that it cannot even answer that 8 year old boy jatin ? If yes they why do we even need such a system?
Also, understand the solution very much exists. If they can't find a solution to this in 30 YEARS they are the problem.
Remember: All talks fail when a person whose thousands of generations evolved to see him being jealous of a 'pig' .

@@devansh2284 bhai just imagine you buying a house in Faridabad for a emi for 25 years and these people living rent free on prime land in delhi for 25 years then asking government to provide a house in exchange of leaving the occupied land for free will it be justified.
Land is very precious commodity specially in india you cant just set this precedent that poor people can occupy government land.
When they were allowed to live there for 30 years rent free in the meantime they should have saved the money and tried to buy some house elsewhere legally but they thought they would be given land for free.

All the kids, even the ones who don't speak up. They have been through such tough times, that if they come out of this alive, they will be such strong people. Or, they may become state-haters and anti-establishment, and no one can blame them - survival is an instinct that leads us all to take measures necessary to survive when the state disowns its citizens and provides no recourse.

I know i will get hate for this, but we need to see other side as well. Problem with these issues is that these people were brought as labor to build these large cities and they start living here but they never made any efforts to make a better lifestyle for themselfs. They multiply like crazy, they all have atleast 3 kids and most who are married are not even older than 20+. Govt cant do everything, they build them toilets but they are blaming govt not keeping it up but how govt is at fault here. Not a structural feature of globalisation and capitalism per se predatory states are always going to be there irrespective of ideological discourse, Question is of hierarchy and human greed which supercedes ideological dispensation, seeing humans are mere cogs or resources is rooted in the idea of nature as a tool to be won, the teleological drive in capitalism or communism the same. I feel a deep connection to this because it hits so close to home, reminding me of my own childhood experiences. Those nights spent under the open sky are etched in my memory, and it's heartbreaking to see others going through similar struggles. What's even more disheartening is the empty promises made by certain welfare organizations, urging us to vote for their candidates, and in return, they pledge to address these very issues. But, as you may have guessed, those promises often amount to nothing.
India may appear to be thriving in headlines and media reports, but the truth is far from the glossy images we see. It's disheartening to know that India ranks among the least happy countries in the world, and there's a reason behind that. As for the future of those who've lost their homes, it's a bleak one. Many will spend the rest of their lives on the unforgiving streets or struggling to keep up with rent payments. Everything they had, everything they worked so hard for, has vanished, and it seems like no one truly cares about their plight. It's a painful reality we must confront.

It just made me realise.. "if it's rich, it's legal, if it's poor, it's illegal". To further elaborate, I live in bangalore and you can see how corruption has ruined city planning. In the new areas of bangalore, a 4 lane road gets 5 high rise residential societies, shopping mall and stuff. There is huge traffic jam before these permissions were given and now there will not be any scope of road widening. The whole areas around ORR is captured by houses and shops without any planning. Roads are just lanes which connect one part to another. But no one will demolish them.
The tech parks are by giants who have huge roads inside their tech parks but a street on the outside.

Land is very precious commodity specially in india you cant just set this precedent that poor people can occupy government land.

Watching this, I immediately hopped on Google and Twitter to see other details about it via news reports, idk if I was surprised or not, but it was extremely appalling to see NOT A SINGLE media house mentions it, not even as a byline or even a footnote. If this is the cost we have to pay to be "Vishwaguru", I'd much rather see and infact even work to uplift and provide such people the at least a bare minimum of resources to lead a HUMAN life. The moment you mentioned about how the very bricks that formed a shelter for these people turned into a currency for survival, my heart sank into the deepest levels of guilt and empathy that I've never experienced before.

Hats off to Samdish for courageously bringing this to light, and a resounding salute to Jatin, a young voice that echoes across the nation, exposing the unsettling reality of how the Indian police interact with their own citizens. As an Indian, the sight of law enforcement often evokes unease instead of reassurance, a testament to the deeply ingrained apprehension they've instilled in us.
Samdish, your vigilant reporting is a beacon of hope in a media landscape often clouded by sensationalism. In a world where headlines are dominated by trivialities like reality shows and movies, your dedication to shedding light on matters of true significance is commendable. Your commitment to uncovering the truth is an inspiration to us all.

In my college(NPTI Badarpur) days, I used to do up down to this locality. One of the worst and most haphazard localities you can ever find in Delhi. We had to walk to Mohan Estate bus stop because no bus driver was willing to stop at as badarpur as govt. School local boys used to pelt stones on DTC Buses. You need to be very aware and vigilant while traveling in this locality as pickpocketing is normal affair hair. They literally carry blades and don't even hesitate to charge it. One of my friends from Mithapur told me that household brothels and prostitution is common thing here. Zero cleanliness and zero greenery. On the road you will find slums jam packed with disillusioned people roaming, fighting and goading cattle. I know slum eradication is not efficient way of dealing poverty but this move was most welcome. Govt should try to rehabilitate them and give some compensation.

@vishwasshitut1699 I personally totally respect your opinion on middle class but we must not forget still in 2023 according to UNDP our 16.4% population is below the poverty line which means 23 crore of our population still cannot fullfill their basic needs.
Now on the income tax. According to the RBI data of incometax returns filed in 2022-2023 only just 2.24 crore people paid income tax. which works out to just about 1.6% percent of the total population in India.
So according to you the 98.4 does not deserve the benefits.
      Now on illegal encroachment.
Yes these encroachment of lands is totally illegal and actions should and must be taken against it but if a family is living in from many years and they have all the documents ( Ration card, electricity bill, water bill, housetax bill etc ) which some how the government had approved to them then is it not the responsibility of the government to takecare of them.
