I didnt know about Timmie Rogers before but he sounded & looked familiar. I heard him do the 'Oh yeah' routine & my S&S sensibilities kicked in. He sung a song with Fred at the beginning of an episode of 'Sanford & Son.' But i havent been watching for awhile so the episode name escapes me. He did the 'oh yeah' afterwards, when Fred was talking to him about paying for the ukulele. Looking back I should have known that alot of the cameos & guests stars on that show were showbiz vets but I was a child when I started watching it so it never crossed my mind. I did know back then about the man who played Stymie bc he looked so much like his younger self & I watched the Little Rascals/Our Gang shows. The actor that played Melvin had a history too & of course Lawanda Page & also the lady that played the flight attendant once & Grady's fiancee another time. It makes sense bc they were older but as youngsters, we wouldnt know bc the melanated *non A listers* didnt get the same mainstream media attention. As we can see by alot of the content on this channel. 👏 Took 40+ yrs but I got another piece of the puzzle in. 🤓 Can somebody save me another 40 yrs & tell what the name of the song that they sang was, maybe its on youtube. Id like to finally see the lyrics. There were quite a few songs on that show that had me scratching my head & raising eyebrows. 🎵😮😁👍🏼✌
Mr.Timmie Rogers memorable moments as the M.C. in the movie the FIVE HEARTBEATS.
Tommie Rodgers used to be an MC at the famous Regal Theater in Chicago during the 60's. His famous tag line was "oh yeah!"

Silver 2801 I think the episode of Sanford and Son you were thinking about with the ukulele was Mr. Scatman Crothers.
Silver 2801 I stand corrected I had just saw the episode of Sanford and Son you were speaking about "THANK GOD FOR RE-RUNS"
Tis Autumn, and then later they do Lulus Back in Town on stage.
"Oh, YEEAHH!" 😁
