@@SpikesStudio3 lol I replaced the right side board and now I have to do the left too >.< at least moog covered the cost of the right side because of that known filter cutoff issue
Amazing. Def got the chills when you opened her up! I see a wild sci fi scene. It's raining diamonds on Jupiter and the ship just ran out of fuel and theres only oxygen for left for one before the rescue gets there. Beautiful movie. Prob win an Oscar.
It's really pretty how the reverb tails themselves work with what you're playing to imply chords. This really feels beautiful, a complete piece of music - not just something for a TH-cam video.
Wonderful soundscapes. I also like to play my Sub37 this way, left hand glued to the cutoff knob. The bottom end of that synth never ceases to amaze me. There's a particular pitch around the low F# where one of my windows starts to rattle like crazy. 😁
Thanks for the beautiful moment! My humble MicroFreak and lowly multi effects pedal can't really touch this, but I can try and imagine the rest of the way there! 😄
Sounds absolutely wonderful. I regret selling mine a lot. I started my "synth journey" on one of these when someone was selling one for basically nothing on a local ad. little did I know at the time it was one of the best out there. At the time I wanted like, a 4-5 voice version of it with a second state variable filter to tame that many thick voices. That doesn't exist so I moved it on and tried all sorts under the sun, now that I'm just multitracking in monos I'm about to go full circle.
Quite the combo. Polybrute would be second place for me. Never underestimate solid craftmanship. Trust your ears with the instruments you have plugged into quality reference monitors, not headphones.... lol. that was like a PSA. This video is fantastic. Excellent vibes.
Really nice playing, loving the Subsequent 37. As with of a lot of your jams there is so much emotion in the progression. Im trying to work out the key you're in, is it C# Lydian. Thank you for inspiring me yet again.
the way it's sounding like a delay @ 2:14. money. is this the reverb to get for those cinematic ambience sounds? i'd love to here it on a P10 or Pro 3 stereo out.
Hello, very very nice sound and effect. Do you think there is a way to recover the parameters in order to reconstruct this sound as faithfully as possible with another analog synthesizer?
wonderful sound, quick question, When using a mono cable connected to the Moog Subsequent 37, can spatial effects like reverb still be heard as intended, or will they be lost in the mono configuration?
If you keep the signal path mono, then the whole thing will sound mono. However, you can simply run the device (which is mono) to stereo effects, as I've done here, and widen out the sound. And thanks!
Thoughts on the MercuryX vs the Mercury7? Do ultraplate & cathedra sound identical on both? Are the extra 6 algorithms really worth it? All I want is a massive, lush, ambient reverb, and I don’t need all the bells and whistles on the MercuryX, and I’m wondering if the Mercury7 will do it for me.
Personally, I find the layout of the SS37 to be excellent, and the fact that it has a "panel mode", where all the knobs represent the sound, makes it a great tool for learning subtractive synthesis. And thanks!
Gorgeous, can I please ask, is the Meris X automatically doing mono to stereo out? Or is there a global setting for this with mono inputs? Could not see or (missed) it in the manual.
So beautiful, i have some projects but all the equipament its software plugins, i only use an midi controller. DO you have any tips of a first synth to begin to do some jams? i really want to start, but at my country its so expensive and i dont know what synth i need to buy, specially for ambient musics
I think interactivity and fun and sound are more important than features. As such, something like the Novation Bass Station II or MS-20mini is an absolute gem, with a great layout and great to explore, and hopefully cheap for you on the used market. Making jams often requires a lot of pieces of gear-it doesn't have to, but we all like multiple tracks-so I'd buy something that's just fun in and of itself, without ever turning the computer on. So for me, that would be a synth like one of the ones above, an effects pedal, and a mixer for listening. All the best!
@JayHosking thanks for the info man! Some days ago i was thinking on minilogue of korg, whats your opinion? But novation bass station its on my list too hahaha
@@ancientmonolith8126 I tried the Minilogue way back near the beginning of my hardware journey. I'm not sure why, but it never really worked for me, especially as compared to something like the Bass Station II, which sounds so great. But I also know a lot of people who love the Minilogue, so maybe it'll be the right one for you! I hope you have a music store close enough that you could try it out.

The Sub37 is such a wonderful machine.
There is just something special about it. What do they say? "Future classic"? I send mine into space and down black holes. Its beautiful.👍👍
it truly is...if only the build quality on the tribute edition was there....
@@humanerror7 🤣 yeah I had to do the main voice board and remove the sticky glue off of the wheels. The things we do for love.

A much needed break from the state of things. Thank you, friend.
There's only a bunch of oscillators doing their job in these machines but it sounds so wonderful. Thanks for this voyage.👍

The Sub 37 was too much for the Yamaha HS8: too much vibration on the steel girders in the ceiling..
Beautiful. Thank you.
Beautiful. The Subsequent 37 never disappoints.
Stunning composition made all the more wonderful with the Moog sound. Nice one.
beautiful sound from the Moog sub 37

Thank you for making such a great reverb.

May I ask how you're connecting the Sub37 to the Mercury X? Looks like you're going into your interface and back out to the Mercury?
No, direct from Sub37 to Mercury X, and MX out to audio interface. Just a straight connection.
maybe a bit of an inappropriate question: what speakers are you using? YAMAHA, but which model?
HS-8, I think, with the HS-8S underneath.
I wish the pitch/Mod wheels weren't made of rubber, it's not for long time. But your sound is great. 👍
Rubber coating dies over time. Cleans off with good old petrol. There are instructional videos about. 🙌
¿Cuál es el mejor modelo Moog?
Would this be a good first synth?
Yeah, it's a great synth in its sound and layout, good for learning how to make sounds (put it in panel mode!).
@ Thanks!
Would you potentially share this preset :)
It's not a preset at all, just what's on the knobs! It's in panel mode, so you should be able to copy what you see.
Amazing! So I have the Subsequent 37, now you're telling me I gotta spend $700 on a reverb pedal, huh?
Less flanger.. would be nice to my ears man..but anyway..a masterpiece again! Thx
