For anyone watching this video 2021-forward, something that really helped me commit to this trick was popping into it on a small, square rail (gotta be small so you dont fuck yourself up) while standing still. It will make you used to the feeling of being blind while sliding hahaha. Also, a different trick that will help are fakie fs lipslides.

Yo please do a vid on Slappy's!!! It's my favorite trick and I can't for the life of me find a way to explain it to my homies. You're the best trick tip channel on TH-cam. It'd be so sick to see a vid about the hardest/easiest trick ever made. Hahaha once it clicks it's such a fun trick that takes almost zero energy to do but learning it makes almost zero sense. It took me forever to wrap my head around such a simple trick.

Hey there, I have a weird problem with this trick. I learned fs boards a while ago, going low, slow, and short, so they weren't the best. Soon after that I learned fs boards to fakie and I found them easier and more fun to do, so I did them more and never really did them to regs. Now that I wanna start skating handrails, fs board slides to regs seem like a good idea, but when I've tried to relearn them I've found it near impossible to break my habit of turning my body all the way over and turning back to where I'm going. Does anyone have any tips to help me fix this???

    • @durga2244

I found it easiest to just teach yourself to turn only your hips and keep your shoulders facing forward, so when u are near the end you can turn back to your stance when u get out of the slide, you made this comment 3 months ago so you probably figured it out by now but yea this is what I do.

  • @wheezystar3939

I get the same way when I try a new flat bar. What I do is find a ledge or a box that’s around the same height and slowly Ollie into a stall. That way I get comfortable popping up and locking into boardside position. When I get that down multiple times, then I try to boardslide the tip of the rail. Hope this helps!

    • @bhrriss

@@bhrriss most def! another good way to practice boardslides on low obstacles are parking blocks. like any parking block you find in empty parking lots. you'll probably need to wax it like crazy or install some rails to your board to get the slide effect.

He made one, it helped me a lot
      th-cam.com/video/OzrOkeyOAaI/w-d-xo.html
One thing i’d say is important in this video is the tip he gave to have a reference point. Before I used to try to tweak my ollies I practiced them like kick flips over and over again on flat but I never really progressed. The best thing to do (atleast what worked for me) is to have an obstacle thats close to or is your highest ollie and practice ollieing over it everyday until you get it almost every try. Once you’re at that point either try to bone the ollie at the peak everytime you’re over it or just get a higher obstacle and repeat the process. There comes a point where if your form isnt correct, you wont be able to just pop over the obstacle and thats what helped me get high ollies down.

ZELKAO move your front foot towards the middle of the board more, wait for the pop a little longer and then make sure to lift your back foot. if you have the right front foot rolling/sliding motion the tail of the board should pop fight up to your back foot.
