- This past weekend I got the chance to ride Cuyuna's newest black diamond trail. The trail is located in the Mahnomen North Unit off of Galloping Goose. It includes a mixture of downhill rock gardens, berms, and jumps. It's a fun trail that I will make sure to include on my future trips to Cuyuna.
In terms of difficulty I would personally rate it a dark blue. Let me know if you've gotten a chance to ride the new trail and what your thoughts are.

Nice run Ben, I rode this Friday for the first and second time. Super fun trail. I was told by a volunteer I ran into on the trail with his 12 yr old little shredder that a new black or double black would be opening in a month or so - just north of the Mahnomen Unit.
Awesome, thanks for the insight. I think as the trails mature, more experienced riders have been looking for some more challenging trail. I need to get back to riding it again and doing some of the B-line options.

Yeah, it sounds like another black trail should be out later this summer. I believe they’re all going to be in that area of the trail system.

I'm finally getting a chance to go out there at the end of June. Two nights camping three days of trails. So excited

I was at a cabin nearby, so just a day trip this time. I think 3 days is the perfect amount of time to explore everything and take your time.
Was jus put there last weekend to ride drawdown. Did not disappoint great video as well

Thanks for checking in! It’s been a busy summer! I haven’t had the chance to mountain bike and try new places as I would have liked. Hopefully I can make up for lost time this fall and get some videos out.

Thanks Harry. I am still doing well! Just haven't had the chance to mountain bike and make videos recently. Hoping to do a Duluth or Cuyuna trip soon and get some videos out there.
