Personally didn't mind the Wii and Nunchuk on this game. Once I realized I could use the nunchuk to spin and keep the pointer on screen the game was actually very comfortable.
I remember playing this as a kid and never even wanting to beat it. Only in this collection did I actually went to beat the campaign. The mechanics of the galaxies were just so fun I didn’t want it to end I guess
@@sonicdudeatdawn2 I never played it and I tried it out and the controls were so hard to get used to, I really wish they did more to make it easier to play and bring it up to today's standards. Mario 64 has the same problem
Mario Galaxy was the first game I ever really played and immediately became my very favorite ever. The port here is... not that great. The controls feel wrong, not quite responsive enough in the way the old game was. Maybe it’s just a problem with my particular preowned Joy Cons, but it just... doesn’t feel right. I’ve had a lot of trouble with some of the levels for reasons that seem new to this version compared to when I played the original. Not to mention the gravity physics have been adapted very poorly, so things like the vine off of that one planet in Gusty Garden Galaxy that you go to the end of to get a 1-Up just send you falling to your death instead of being pulled back into the planet’s gravity.
The first wii game I ever played when I was a kid. I’m ashamed to say that I got rid of it when I was older. This video is so tempting for me to buy a switch and this game and play it again
i swear 3:52:45 the platforming looks like the design for one of the obtacle courses in fall guys like some game designer was playing mario galaxy and thought about putting that into a video game
Well he said mario 64 was bad, but really enjoyed sunshine and galaxy. 64 didnt age the best, although Id say it’s still fun for the most part. If they had actually done more than just port it, it likely would have gotten better reception with Ray. As is the camera is the biggest problem due to the way cameras work in nearly every video game now.
I never finished this game on Wii. Just wasn't a fan of pointing thr nunchuck at the screen, even though it really wasn't a hassle, it just threw me off
@@termentir7257 You didn't even have to indicate it was sarcasm. If people didn't understand that, they're dumbasses considering he says that it's a one off a bunch of times.

3:37:43 Shoutouts to Ray for managing to correctly guess the official name of Torpedo Ted despite his limited Mario knowledge

I agree!
wait...WHAT?! How did i never know that its been 15 years lmao
The black holes always gave me nightmares as a kid. Looking back at them now they still do...
Watching this is way more interesting and fun than getting ready for and going to work.

Thats crazy because this is the first game i ever completed 100 percent
Rosalina 11/10 best princess no contest
agreed
I've just got back from my grandad's funeral, and this is EXACTLY what I needed. Soothing Mario gameplay and Ray being a total melt
4:21:45 Ray accurately predicts the Steelers playoff results
It's worth getting the collection just for this game, it holds up so well. I hope we get the 2nd one on the switch soon

Out of Curiosity from when he made the bee movie reference this game came out a day before the Bee movie did according to google

I played through Galaxy on the Switch almost exclusively on handheld mode, and I thought it worked great.

This is the only Mario game I didn't have trouble with. Not saying it was easy, just that I enjoyed it enough for the learning curve to work.
This game is going to make you pull your hair, later levels make Dark souls look like a kids game.
It's definitely Daisy because Luigi doesn't have to spend every game just to save her like a stupid asshole
Peach is a blonde, what do you expect?

Hell yeh, just watching this- Daisy all the way my guy.

I'm pretty sure any future game Supermassive Games makes will fail to live up to Until Dawn.
666 likes y’all know what that means 😈 he’s here
Lol if ray ever plays the story mode to Mario party 3 he will understand why princess daisy is the best princess ;)
Comment edit: he prolly already knows why she's the best but that will only help confirm lol
I NEED ray in a maid outfit
54:30 Gotta pollenate that honey if ya know what im sayin
It's weird that he calls the games mediocre and doesn't finish them... They are some of the most fun games made.
Man, it's almost like someone deciding what they like is subjective and is an opinion.

I can't believe he will not finish and 100% this masterpiece ):
Weird taste in games lol
He said it was fun and might come back to it. Did you watch the whole vid😂
Screw achievement hunter’s ad reads I’m coming here in future

I love you Ray.
👌
i hope Ray is going to play assassin's creed valhalla soon
It's another AC RPG. Pretty sure he's said hes completely uninterested in those since Odyssey
He said in this video that he wasn't going to play it.
I know that people get super mad when they bring RT into things but Jack Patillo has being playing it on Twitch and is having a lot of fun with it.
Ten bucks says he doesn’t finish it r/sarcasm.
You could have just said /s if you were going to make a reddit reference.
