Greatest guitarist I ever heard in my life. Because what you don`t play is as important what you do play. Ear candy in my opinion. No one can make a guitar sound as good as Ritchie can. I have heard others that are killer but none grab me like Blackmore can.
I have loved this guys guitar playing for over 50 years and for me he will always be the one, so fuckin talented its unbelievable that a man of 74 can still do this stuff

It was great hearing the crowd sing. It is one of the most beautiful songs ever written by Coverdale and Ritchie or anyone in Rock. I will say Uriaheep's Rain is up there with Soldier of Fortune.

I bought everything that came out from them. Sabbath also. Those were the bands I bought first at first sight with the money from my Newspaper Route. Shop lifted some of them to be honest. I am not proud of that fact but I stopped about 15 years old.
I worked the Deep Purple tour supporting their album, House of Blue Light, as a crew person. I also worked with Steve Morse before he joined the band. All good.

The days of hammering the life out of a Stratocaster are over, but the acoustic guitar playing is simply sublime....
And that is harder to do. So Ritchie has evolved and not the opposite as some prople in here are saying.
The strat is limiting and he probably achieved everything he wanted with it however playing acoustic with harmonies is a lot harder...
