I still can't decide between Hourglass ethereal and diffused light...! I've been reading so many reviews and just concluded that diffused light would be too yellow (I'm neutral, slightly leaning pink when at my fairest) but seeing you use it makes me think it will be fine and aaaah it's so hard :')
Tarababyz has talked about that Wet and Wild powder as a great setting powder for years. In her empties she shows how many she has used up, which was like 8 for that few months alone. You should watch her. She also has great recommendations for pale skin and doesn't do the stupid ads and paid posts like bigger youtubers. These were great recommendations though. Another great powder is the Tony Moly powder in the cat compact. Very few people talk about it but it has decent coverage and is so incredibly pale. Great video!
+raggedyann awesome! Thanks for the suggestion! Yes, as it turns out, many people do love the wet & wild bronzer after all haha just none of my regulars have mentioned it :)
Currently I use the Maybelline Fit Me, but I've been wanting the Hourglass powders for so long. I'm completely in love with the Hourglass blushes so I know I will love the powders.
hey beautiful! I would really love it if you did a 'best bb/cc creams for pale skin'. the foundation vid was mainly full coverage and I'm really wanting some light coverage ones! 💙💚💛💜💖
+Natalie R That's a great idea! It'll be a while before I can make one (perhaps next year) as I currently only have about 3 I love so I'll try a few more options out over the next few months and make a video once I have a decent line up xx
Love Wet n Wild Reserve Your Cabana--I'm actually one of the few who are fair enough that it works as a bronzer for me! I hope they never discontinue it! It's actually very, very well loved in makeup communities, though. Definitely not an undiscovered product!
Thanks for this video. I think I am going to try the hourglass ethereal light and diffused light when I save up my money. Everyone talks about how great they are and when I have swatched them I was not at all impressed, but it looks so great on everyone I think I want to try it out. Funny story, I tried baking yesterday with my bare minerals mineral veil thinking it had no color and when I pressed it under my eyes on my concealor it made my under eyes look three shades darker, lol. Not a cute look. I had to wipe it off with makeup remover and redo my eye makeup.
I love the Wet n Wild Reserve Your Cabana as an all over face powder. I currently can't find mine, though, lol. I think I'll put the Hourglass one on my VIB shopping list.
This is so funny. I actually use the Wet n Wild "Bronzer" in Reserve Your Cabana as an all over face powder and I LOVE it! And it's so cheap. Every time I hit pan, I run out and buy a back up of it... sometimes 2 or 3 just to be safe and have extras! ;) LOL. But I LOVE it and I'm always getting compliments on my skin when I'm wearing it. Definitely a winner, for sure! :)
Same here. It's surprising it's not more talked about as it's amazzzing - gives a Flawless finish & natural gorgeous glow. Use it as a all over face powder & it's also great for the body - sometimes I pop it on my shoulders, collarbones, upper arms, décolletage/chest. Wet'n'wild has Really stepped up their game. Great products, vegan & cruelty-free, & inexpensive. My only Tiny wish would be that this bronzer came in a larger pan with more product, but that is how they keep the cost down.
I'm so glad that I watched this! I was going to order the MAC powder in NW10, but now I know that it would be way too dark. I have the Bareminerals original foundation in Fair and it's too dark as well. ugh. You gave so many good suggestions though! I'm going to try some of the others!
The ONLY thing i cant stand abt the LM powder is that since i usually only spot conceal, it leaves a yellowy darker cast that doesnt look like my pale cool toned skin
You should try the Cover FX Illuminating Setting Powder in the shade Light it's not a translucent powder because it comes in Light and Medium so it has colour but very little it's more like the Hourglass powders crossed with the Guerlain Powders, and it's only $34 Canadian and you get a a lot of product for the price 10g it's a loose powder so can get a tad messy to use but it gives your skin the most beautiful healthy glowy skin and sets your makeup to last all day and like always Cover FX is 100% Cruelty Free. Also sadly the Too Faced Candlelight setting powder was discontinued a while ago they only have the highlighters now and not even the original pink and white one that was perfect for pale skin they discontinued that one too.
+Tammy St. Jean Oh that's a shame about the Too Faced Candlelights :( and yes that powder is on my list as you've definitely mentioned it to me before and it sounds amazing!!! Just waiting for it to be in stock in my local Sephora. Melbourne is often out of stock of many items :(
I know how you feel where I live in Canada my local Sephora doesn't even offer half of what I want or there always sold out of what I want. Thankfully there's online ordering.
Love the Maybelline Fit Me powder as well. Excited to try the Too Faced and MAC Studio Fix powder. Thank you so much for letting us know your favorites!
Once again, another great informative video! Thanks so much! I use the dim light ambient powder but always felt it was to dark for me! I'll have to give some of these powders a whirl! Can't wait for your contour video!!!! I've always struggled with my skin being so pale. Most colours go super muddy on me.
Great video, now some new to me items on my wish list. I am never without W & W Reserve Y Cabana, just a great find for so cheap, the only downfall is when you hit pan it breaks very easily. Thanks for sharing.
Great video ! I hate how TH-cam never notifies me until like half an hour to an hour after the video is uploaded :/ but anyway ! I want those hourglass powders so much 😍❤️
I love the maybelline fit me in 115 (it's the only shade that fits me) but that shade was discontinued :'( I called maybelline and they confirmed that they no longer make 115
You will absolutely love LAURA MERCIER Candleglow Sheer Perfecting Powder in the lightest shade!! It's a lot like the hourglasse powders, but on steroids. I love it!!
If you ever get the chance to get more Sephora Collection products, they just launched a new powder foundation line thats a lot like MAC Studio Fix powder + BUT there are much lighter shades than NW10, which I found too dark and pink.
Another great vid! The swatches of the Hourglass powders were particularly useful, I have been wondering which one to get as I would be ordering it online. Only problem now is whenever they are in stock I don't have any spare cash and vice versa!
I know that feeling!! I had been trying to order the Kevin Aucoin Sculpting Powder for ages but whenever it was in stock on Beauty Bay, I couldn't afford it haha finally got my hands on it the other day though!! Thanks again for watching x
Yay!! Thanks so much Arna. This was the vid I badly wanted to see (feel like I need more advice on powders for pale skin than any other product). Great video!! I'm adding two of these powders to my wish list now :)
Another great video in the series! I already had a few of these, like the hourglass etc. Going to try the bare minerals for sure. Sadly can't get models prefer in the U.K., or I would definitely have tried that! Xx
really?? for some reason, I thought Model's Prefer was an English brand!! That is disappointing because it really is lovely! if you ever get the chance to grab it, do xx
I think it's Australian. If I'm wrong someone please correct me. But they only place I can see it for sale is on Australian websites and they don't ship to the uk 😭 if anyone can find it anywhere else please let me know, as I would love to try it! Xx
I don't know if it's a dupe formula wise or available in the uk, but I have noticed some hard candy products look very similar to models prefer and australis. Trio baked blush/highlight/bronzers, customising drops etc
Thank you so much! I am about to purchase one of these... would you recommend diffused light or meteorites? I have really long work days and I need something to help keep my skin looking fresh and even. I don't mind a glow but my main goal is smooth and youthful... I would appreciate your suggestions since you have experience with them both! Thank you!
Can u redo this 2021 because this is over 4y old and I need face powder I’m fair lile pale lighter then u but eveything I use is to dark or looks bad bc I have dry skin and just started get Bunps little bit so it picks up on thoes I can’t find anything to use and I can’t use Matt foundation of k could id used that because I wouldn’t need set I use hydration or dewy and have set thag if not it’s sticky all day I can’t stand it and my concealer creaces i need something I think I need a baked powder, I want ethereal light bc it’s white I’m pale shade lighter then u but ppl say it’s super glittery and defused don’t have chucks of glitter so I’m trying figure out what to do I’m not yellow undertone but I have defused otw and that’s yellow so idk if I should of got white one or not
Thank you for this video! :) You really convinced me to try the bare minerals and the mac powders :D I already bought the guerlain meteorites powder from your other videos but it makes me too glowy (oily like) when I use it with my foundations, so I use it more when I prefer a "no make-up day" :P As you like the Too faced brand too, check out the cacao foundation powder from it! :D I love the cacao smell soooo much. It looks very beautiful on a bb cream :)) Could you please make some reviews of the erborian products? Thank you and have a nice day! xoxo Sara
I literally went to Sephora yesterday and it was a struggle to find a good powder that’s not yellow cause I am so white I bought the channel one and I hated it it’s super yellow I don’t trust Sephora staff anymore they just want to sell you things to be honest she literally took me to the most expensive powder and it sucked i will try these and see
+Jess Thanks Jess! I've done a couple. I think it's just really important that TH-camrs select sponsorships that they believe in and that work with their branding. Chloe for example, I know she's done quite a few as of late, but they're with awesome makeup brands and she clearly loves the product. I get a super genuine vibe from her so I think it's ok - but that's my opinion. I turn down SOOOO many sponsorships because they don't fit my aesthetic and I think it's important to be choosy xx
Arna Alayne thanks for your reply. I agree they need to believe in the product :) In regards to the pale skin, what is your skin undertone? Is it more pinkish or yellow. Mines too pink so I try to find yellow based powders to counteract it
Oh and the Wetn Wild powder has SPF15 which is waterproof. In Europe its made with SPF50 but Im guessing Australia has the American "batches" and therefore the low SPf. It is way WAY too dark for me. It looks quite champagney and tan beigey but I do use it to set my liquid SPF on my neck, whenever my foundation is too dark, because the powder will darken up my skin so my neck match my face.
I am as fair as you (but slightly warmer skin-toned) and found those on amazon and wanted to get the lightest shade for under my eyes, but since u picked 115 I got pretty confused 🤔😄 So was wondering why did u go with the 115 although u are the lightest shade ever? ☺️ Is it for the undertones?
Great video! I've actually heard at least several others rave about WNW's Reserve Your Cabana...& specifically about it being a near hourglass dupe. I think JAMbeauty89 was the first person that turned me onto it but I know I've heard about it from at least a few others as well. I definitely am a fan myself!! And HG diffused is a fave of mine as well, & has a fab texture that doesn't give a powdery look. P.S. Another fave of mine that I highly recommend for fair skin beauties, esp for undereyes, is the Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Rose Quartz...it's really great!!
It’s veryyyyyy subtle yellow so you’d be fine x
@@ArnaAlayneMorton I just received it and you're right ! :) Swatches beautifully, can't wait to try it tomorrow morning!
Tarababyz has talked about that Wet and Wild powder as a great setting powder for years. In her empties she shows how many she has used up, which was like 8 for that few months alone. yes you'll love them! the quality is to die for!! Thanks for watching
I think you might like Laura Geller balance and brighten in porcelain . It's a mineral foundation but in pressed form so good for touch ups on the go.
hey beautiful! I would really love it if you did a 'best bb/cc creams for pale skin'. the foundation vid was mainly full coverage and I'm really wanting some light coverage ones! 💙💚💛💜💖
+Natalie R That's a great idea! It'll be a while before I can make one (perhaps next year) as I currently only have about 3 I love so I'll try a few more options out over the next few months and make a video once I have a decent line up xx
awesome! you're a star in the sky! thankyou xxx
Try the mac studio fix in NC 10 instead, it is a bit lighter!
thank you for this! it helps so much, it's nice to see videos that are helpful from someone who actually has fair skin 😊
+Rebecca Everlost My pleasure!! That's what I'm here for hehe xx
I've actually heard Kathleenlights talk about the WnW powder as a highlight. I purchased it yesterday and it is so gorgeous!
+Vanessa Reynolds ahhhh good!!
Yeah she loves Reserve Your Cabana
Love Wet n Wild Reserve Your Cabana--I'm actually one of the few who are fair enough that it works as a bronzer for me! I hope they never discontinue it! It's actually very, very well loved in makeup communities, though. Definitely not an undiscovered product!
+edean4040 oh that's good! It must not be talked about in my circle haha
Thanks for this video. I think I am going to try the hourglass ethereal light and diffused light when I save up my money. +Bestany I hope you enjoy the hourglass ones :) xx

The translucent version of the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless is also fantastic for pale skin. It is practically white!
+Emily Rachel Gilley Ooooh good to know! thanks xx
Hello beautiful, can u recommend fixing powder for pale skin plz
The ONLY thing i cant stand abt the LM powder is that since i usually only spot conceal, it leaves a yellowy darker cast that doesnt look like my pale cool toned skin

I have taken the Studio Fix Powder NC10 is more yellow and for my opinion is a little clearer and great for blushes. :)
+Sylia great! Thanks for letting me know x

if you liked the glow of dim light but found it too dark, definitely try the diffused light :) and yay I am glad you're excited for the contour video
Ahhh I forgot I had that model's prefer powder! I'll have to dig it up and start using it again. Great video as always x
Such a recent discovery for me!! Crystal & Senay got me onto it haha thanks for watching
Great video, now some new to me items on my wish list. I am never without W & W Reserve Y Cabana, just a great find for so cheap, the only downfall is when you hit pan it breaks very easily. Thanks for sharing.
I had one break when it was nearly full, too. It's so affordable that I just bought a new one.
+Deb InPEI I can imagine it would break easily because it had so much kick up with use but again, so cheap
Oh hey, I did not know about the little bell symbol for updates - thanks!
+Emily Rachel Gilley ❤️❤️
Great video ! I hate how TH-cam never notifies me until like half an hour to an hour after the video is uploaded :/ but anyway ! I want those hourglass powders so much 😍❤️
really?? that's so annoying :( c'mon TH-cam haha but thanks for being part of the notification squad

Great Video 💖
My favourite Powder is the Lily Lolo Mineral Foundation in Porcelain its so light!
oooooh sounds amazing! thanks for the suggestion!
You will absolutely love LAURA MERCIER Candleglow Sheer Perfecting Powder in the lightest shade!! It's a lot like the hourglasse powders, but on steroids. I love it!!
+Renee Johnson ooooh thank you!! I love her highlighter in devotion so I'll definitely check this out!
Love this series! , Tarababyz uses that wetnwild powder everyday all over the face, i have been meaning to purchase it.
+Amy Spinks (Belovedfinch) Yes someone else commented that she used it also!! Xx
If you ever get the chance to get more Sephora Collection products, they just launched a new powder foundation line thats a lot like MAC Studio Fix powder + BUT there are much lighter shades than NW10, which I found too dark and pink.

oh true!! that makes sense since it's a staple in the Australian drugstores. If i find a more accessible dupe, I will let you know x
I don't know if it's a dupe formula wise or available in the uk, but I have noticed some hard candy products look very similar to models prefer and australis. Trio baked blush/highlight/bronzers, customising drops etc
You look stunning!
+Erin Hurley Thank you x
Thank you for doing this video! So helpful. I struggle most with trying to find setting powders. Love your channel! = D
+Katelyn Coogan No worries :) glad I can help x
Thank you so much! I am about to purchase one of these... would you recommend diffused light or meteorites? I have really long work days and I need something to help keep my skin looking fresh and even. I don't mind a glow but my main goal is smooth and youthful... I would appreciate your suggestions since you have experience with them both! Thank you!
+Leah Erin Probably the hourglass is best :) it blurs the skin! And it's a bit cheaper & portable than the Meteorites x
Arna Alayne Thanks girl :) I will happily take your advice, your skin always looks flawless!
+Leah Erin Awww you're so sweet! Xx
looking forward to the best contour products for pale skin!
+Brooke Morgan yay!! I can't wait to share them with you all! I have TEN products 😁
Hello! What's the color on ur lips u used in this video? Look so pretty.....
+Alice Alice Its a Maybelline Vivid Matté Liquid in 40 Berry Boost (I blotted off the excess with a tissue)
Can u redo this 2021 because this is over 4y old and I need face powder I’m fair lile pale lighter then u but eveything I use is to dark or looks bad bc I have dry skin and just started get Bunps little bit so it picks up on thoes I can’t find anything to use and I can’t use Matt foundation of k could id used that because I wouldn’t need set I use hydration or dewy and have set thag if not it’s sticky all day I can’t stand it and my concealer creaces i need something I think I need a baked powder, I want ethereal light bc it’s white I’m pale shade lighter then u but ppl say it’s super glittery and defused don’t have chucks of glitter so I’m trying figure out what to do I’m not yellow undertone but I have defused otw and that’s yellow so idk if I should of got white one or not
You're makeup always looks perfect. What lipstick are you wearing?
+Mckenzie C Thank you! It's a new MAYBELLINE one and I cannot remember the name haha I'll mention it in my next favs video x
It looks very beautiful on a bb cream :))
Could you please make some reviews of the erborian products? Thank you and have a nice day! xoxo Sara
Hey Sara! Thanks so much for the suggestions! The guerlain is suuuuuper glowy, eh haha not for everyone, but I'm glad you've found a use for them! xx
What huge powder brush is that you're using? thx.
hello :) which compact foundation powder with medium to full coverage would you recommand that is very fair? thank you :) xoxo Sara
+NiceAngel91 The Kat Von D one is good and very pale. I prefer less coverage in general for powder but that one does pack a punch x
Thank you for your suggestion :*
I literally went to Sephora yesterday and it was a struggle to find a good powder that’s not yellow cause I am so white I bought the channel one and I hated it it’s super yellow I don’t trust Sephora staff anymore they just want to sell you things to be honest she literally took me to the most expensive powder and it sucked i will try these and see
Hi Arna do you know if any of these powders have flashback?
+Tiffany Rutherford I don't believe any have silica which is the main cause of flashback. Perhaps also avoid the couple I mentioned that have SPF xx
The Wetnwild powder is #jambeauty89 favorite dupes for the Hourglass. She raves about this product too!!
+Misty Hinds Haha that's awesome! I love how I came to this conclusion without hearing anyone else talk about it!!
That's how u know it is really good. :) She is the reason I use it!
Hi what shade do you have the hourglass pressed powder in? thanks
+Yvonne Milner Diffused Light & Ethereal Light are both great!
Hello! Any idea where one could get Models Prefer in NZ?
+Kathleen Sircombe I've since been told it's an Australian brand :( so maybe when a friend goes to 'Straya, ask them to grab some for you haha
what large powder brush are you using? I really really want to find a large fluffy brush just like that one!
+Nicole Winkelmann it's from Furless Cosmetics xx
do you have any cheaper dupes/suggestions?
What is the color/undertone of wet n wild reserve your cabana?
Neutral I’d say! Beige coloured x
*I know this video is way old but people have been talking about the Wet N Wild Reserve Your Cabana powder for YEARS.*
Love the video
Do you do any sponsored videos?
What are your thoughts on TH-camrs doing SO many sponsored videos? *cough Chloe
I agree they need to believe in the product :)
In regards to the pale skin, what is your skin undertone? Is it more pinkish or yellow. Mines too pink so I try to find yellow based powders to counteract it
I used Maybelline fit me 115 for years and they recently discontinued it ): so sad
+sammyisabird Nooooo I'll have to stock up if I see one in stock x
What is your lovely lip color in this video? Stila patina?
Oh and the Wetn Wild powder has SPF15 which is waterproof. In Europe its made with SPF50 but Im guessing Australia has the American "batches" and therefore the low SPf. It is way WAY too dark for me. It looks quite champagney and tan beigey but I do use it to set my liquid SPF on my neck, whenever my foundation is too dark, because the powder will darken up my skin so my neck match my face.
+wirina holstein Filmed this a wee while ago so can't remember sorry!!
First comment Wooo!!!!! But daylight savings means it's 11pm here!
you're in daylight savings already?? we don't have that until next week!
Is maybelline 115 lighter than 110?
Not in the Powders (although note I think this has been discontinued now and they have the loose Powders available!)
I am as fair as you (but slightly warmer skin-toned) and found those on amazon and wanted to get the lightest shade for under my eyes, but since u picked 115 I got pretty confused 🤔😄
So was wondering why did u go with the 115 although u are the lightest shade ever? ☺️
Is it for the undertones?
Also I am pretty hesitant about the loose one coz I needed something non drying and satin finish and the loose one looks pretty matte I guess!
When you don't have your eye makeup on in this video you look a lot like freelee the banana girl (she's a vegan youtuber)
