i'm sure that she actually tried to warn about bruno's being there but Abuela wouldn't stand the idea of him not only not leaving but also living inside the walls, so she punished Dolores until she finally got stuck the idea that bruno was not there and it was only her hearing way too much.

It was predictable though. Like, obviously the girl who can hear everything would hear it. And it would be too cliche for Bruno to be evil so they tried to, predictably, twist it so he wasn’t bad. When at the start they said you couldn’t leave the village anyway. Like...okay. Where else would he be, then in the house?

A rundown of the tiny little touches that makes this fantastic
- Casita pitifully trying to help Mirabel hide the vision.
- Agustín's expression when he sees the vision. His face is just frozen is shock except for his eyes darting from the vision to Mirabel.
-The casual way he moves Mirabel aside with the back of his hand. The body language in this movie is incredible.
- Not one, but _two_ of Delores' adorable little squeaks.
- Agustín saying "miercoles". It's "Wednesday" in Spanish but it's also a common way of censoring yourself in Spanish when you're about to say "mierda", which means "shit".
- "Lets hope tonight is not a horrible disaster" Just twisting the knife in Mirabel's side.
- Mirabel's eyes when she's staring at Delores from across the table.
- Felix telling Camillo to fix his face like it's a normal thing they have to deal with.
- The look on Abuela's face after Felix's spittake.
- The look on Agustín's face as he's passing the cream.
- Isabel's look of contempt at Mirabel as she's passing the cream to her.
- When Pepa tells Julietta what's going on, Julietta is the only one that doesn't freak out. She just looks at Mirabel with concern. Best Mom.

I love how whenever someone says "just act normal" the last thing you can do, is act normal. Mirabel and her dad in this scene are very good examples of that.

I like how they don't dare tell anyone while she's staring at them, like they can't look her in the eye and gossip in front of her. But it's strange how it's news to them as Mirabel already told everyone she had seen cracks in the house.

Would have been avoided if Felix didn't tell Pepa and Julieta since it hits differently for them.
moreover, the question arises why did he tell his emotional weather-controlling wife about this, over which a rain cloud may arise? He knows her better and could think with his head before saying something that could provoke Pepa to bad weather.
This whole scene is probably my favourite part of Encanto, and that's a tough call cause the movie as a whole is bloody great. Dolores is such a treat; the look on her face when Mirabel and Agustin realised she could hear them, her adorable little squeaks and increasingly strained facial expression as Mirabel stares her down. Nothing but comedy gold.
The fact when Agustin enters the room and is shocked... Casita moves the table behind Mirabel to hide the vision thing.

That man is a great dad and the animators of this movie really know how to make a facial expression with slight PTSD that is reminded of something they haven't seen in ages.
TINY DETAIL I NOTICED THAT I KINDA LOVE: at 0:54, when Alma looks to Isabella, Isa sort of tenses and smiles wider to make sure she come off as happy.

Her meddling ways along with another's discovery and an overheard conversation gets her family troubled enough to have their powers spiral out of control. Creating a domino effect to destroy her home.
Dolores did things the wrong way... Especially after deliberately and clearly blaming mirabel for destroying the magic, like she conveyed what she heard to the family in such a way that would portray Mira as the reason behind the magic's downfall. If she just states that the magic's breaking down according to bruno's vision that Mira found, that would be understandable. But she clearly says : "Mirabel's gonna destroy the magic and we're all doomed !". So that's quite messed up actually 😕.
