An absolutely Trippy episode of The Sly Strategist.

I am really liking the foundry demos of the actions. Much easier to understand than just reading out the text on the page. One suggestion: just before the end you show the calculation for the bonus with "+9 (+4 Expert / +5 Level)" which is fine except "/" is the symbol for divide and might cause some confusion. Either a & or + might be better (though +4 + +5 also looks weird lol)

I could switch it to '|' maybe? Thanks for the suggestion!

    Awesome, Don! Absolutely awesome!
    Thank you!
Maybe I can convince you to do one on the "Shove" action with and without "reach" as well? lol

When I initially requested this I confess I had an ulterior motive. I just started a campaign where I am playing a fighter who uses a naginata, and is taking the "Staff Acrobat Dedication" at second level (we use the free archetype rules). I have been trying to visualize these actions and learn them prior to being able to put them to use. Thank you again for going over them. As a "visual learner" this has helped immensely. Please continue to put out the awesome content!
and I agree with another commenter... You can drop the "trying to be"... you most definitely are "the Sly Strategist!"

Sure! They take a day or two to put together but it's no problem!

the trip with the axe should not have the +1 weapon potency, should it?

Just to clarify, you roll YOUR athletics against THEIR reflex, right? What’s the math for trip with assurance?

    • @slystrategist

      Thanks for the comment!
Yup, it's your athletics against their save.
So the math for assurance really is dependent on the individual PC BUT it's pretty easy. Assurance really depends on the level of the player character and skill proficiency. Assurance is 10 + (Level + Skill Proficiency Level) only so it's only level +2 if Trained, level +4 if Expert, level +6 if Master, or level +8 if Legendary.

Is that a module or a setting that added all the skill actions to your Action tab on the hud?

      Thanks for watching!
If you're using Token Action HUD Core and Token Action HUD Pathfinder 2e, you just need to make sure that you drag the actions from the compendium to your character sheet on the actions tab. Only the actions that you add will show up in the HUD.
A quicker way if you don't want to go through the compendiums is to use the Quick Insert - Search Widget which gives you a search bar anytime with a ctrl-space.

@@slystrategist Thanks for responding! I am using all three of those and will make sure to let my players know. My favorite way to teach my players mechanics like this is to use them as long as it won't ruin their day. They're gonna love getting tripped and pummeled, I can tell.
