Both are. Beautiful guitars. Both sound great. You didn’t mention pricing? There are so many Great sounding Strat guitars now available. It’s a hard choice.
Thanks for watching the video. They both really are VERY nice guitars. Also yes, it's true I didn't mention pricing as I bought the two guitars a few years apart and current pricing on both of them have changed, especially after the pandemic.
Thanks so much for your comment. I feel both player VERY similarly as a testament to how well built and setup both guitars are. As far as pickups, I'm finding over time that the Suhr has better note clarity while the TA is more responsive to harmonics.
In general, Anderson has better fretwork compared to recent Suhrs….especially with regards to the fret ends. Suhr frets can also be boxy due to unleavened fetboards and PLEK…
Wow from this video I already know I picked the right one and went with the drop top (finally showing up Wednesday)! Nice comparison video man! Great job! You can really hear the difference! My ears prefer the Anderson ! But they're both very nice !
So what I'm hearing is the Anderson is more opened up and even in the mids. And the Suhr has a more compact out front in mids tone. But, they have different pick ups too for the neck and middle.
You're right that the guitars do have different pickups. I believe you can get Anderson pickups that are closer to the Suhr sounding pickups. I went for the pickups each maker was well known / iconic for.
Very good looking guitars. And very similar. You obviously know what you like. I have PRS McCarty 594 Singlecut in the same color but flame instead of quilt top.
I've got a 2019 Suhr Classic S and a 2001 Drop Top (nickel frets, old fashioned neck pocket) - the Drop Top smokes the Suhr in all honesty. I just wish it had the SS frets.
Anderson is the best bolt on hands down. Suhrs are nice though
Very difficult to choose I probably would go with the Anderson.
It's hard to go wrong with either. Both are built very meticulously.
Nice job, thanks for the comparison - I enjoyed it.
Having owned both the Suhr is just a little bit better! But the Anderson is a close second and PRS ! The 3 Best you can buy.
James Tyler is easily in that conversation. Probably the best

In this great test the Suhr won easily. The finish is better, the pick-up’s sound way better. I’m guessing the Suhr feels better to play.

Thanks so much for your kind words. You'll definitely enjoy the Anderson. I'm finding I really like them both.

Congratulations for the comparison !
I prefer Tom Anderson in all aspects.

That PRS sounds like its very striking.

Nice review
Thanks so much!
Wouldn't buy either one but still the Suhr sounds better to me.
great vid! can you get a tyler and do this all again please :0)
LOL! Thanks! I'll take it as a vote of confidence!
One of the most "grounded" reviews I've seen.
Thanks so much!
ADD IN BUZZ FEITEN tuning system for Anderson.
Actually, my Suhr is a 2009 and it has the Buzz Feiten system.
