Yes the season is over, anyone who watched the game or even just saw the score can understand that. The reporter was very professionally asking you as the coach why you think that happened, or what changed from the 1st half. Nothing personal was asked, a straight forward basketball question. Instead of answering it, brushing it off as a "stupid question" is honestly unprofessional. It is a tough situation, and it sucks having to be placed in such a situation publicly, but that is what you signed up for when you signed that million+ check.

But he's always giving credit to his teammates, paying respect to the competition (off the court, not on the court because that's competition mode), etc.

People who have never competed at a high level of anything need to understand that it’s perfectly natural to be emotional after coming up short. We’re humans, not robots. Nobody is saying you should collapse or wallow in self-pity, but when you pour your heart and soul into something but still lose, it definitely hurts. Being emotional doesn’t make you weak. What makes you weak is if you don’t pick yourself back up afterwards
